  17. WHERE AND WHEN
  18.  
  19.     The party will take  place  at Youth Center  (Nuorisotalo)  in Iisalmi
  20.     from 30th of June to 2nd of  july (friday, saturday and sunday), 1995.
  21.     Iisalmi is a small  town between Kuopio  and Kajaani  and it's located
  22.     about 85 kilometers northwards  from Kuopio.  The partyplace is at the
  23.     heart of the city. Near the partyplace are all the centre's advantages
  24.     like restaurants and of course kotipizza (about 50 meters).
  25.  
  26. ENOUGH SPACE
  27.  
  28.     Because the whole  youth center  is at  our  disposal, there should be
  29.     enough space for  everyone.  There's  also enough electricity provided
  30.     for  those  who  bring machines with 'em. The  youth  center  is a two
  31.     storey building. The 1st floor includes the main hall,  coat-racks and
  32.     a smaller hall plus a party kiosk. The 2nd floor is fully for sleeping.

  35. PRICE
  36.  
  37.     Because of the rent, cleaning costs and competion prices we'll have
  38.     to lighten your wallet a bit.  The entrance fee  includes the whole
  39.     weekend at the party place,  so if you just want to visit the party
  40.     place, you still have to pay the whole price.  The price is 80 FIM,
  41.     BUT if you  send  the registration form in  advance,  you only have
  42.     to pay 60 FIM, so  contact  the organizers (addresses at the end of
  43.     file). We reserve the right to change the entrance fee.

  45. COMPETITIONS
  46.  
  47.     Every party  must  have some competitions.  This  time we will have
  48.     atleast  a Demo-, an Intro-, a Graphics-  and a  Music-competition.
  49.     In every competition only the top 3 will receive prices. The prices
  50.     are under work, so wait for the final invitation.
  51.  
  52. COMPETITION RULES
  53.  
  54.     - All competition entries must be delivered before the DEADLINE
  55.     - If you want to enter a competition, you must be present at
  56.       the party. In case you compete with a demo, one person of
  57.       the group must be present at the party.
  58.     - All competition entries will be spread immediately after
  59.       the party, so fix your production to an acceptable
  60.       condition before entering the compo.
  61.     - Testing your production on the compomachine is possible
  62.       before the competition.

  64.     DEMO:
  65.  
  66.     - Only one demo by group
  67.     - The maximum size of a demo is 4096kb
  68.     - The maximum showing time is 10 minutes / demo.
  69.     - Only 256k VGA modes are accepted, NO SVGA!
  70.     - The demo must work without any user interaction,
  71.       except for configuration (autodetection preferred :).

  73.     INTRO:
  74.  
  75.     - Only one intro by group
  76.     - The maximum size of an intro is 64kb
  77.     - The maximum showing time is 5 minutes / intro.
  78.     - Only 256k VGA modes are accepted, NO SVGA!
  79.     - The intro must work without any user interaction,
  80.       except for configuration.

  82.     GRAPHICS:
  83.  
  84.     - Only one picture by one artist
  85.     - The maximum resolution is 640*480*256c
  86.     - Picture must be hand drawn with deluxe paint or similar.
  87.       Rendered, scanned or copied pictures will be disqualified.
  88.     - If the picture is in tweak mode, bring your own viewer,
  89.       because VPIC 6.1, which will be the general viewing program
  90.       at the party, might not be able to show it.
  91.     - We want to prevent the use of usual cheating methods, so bring
  92.       atleast three (3) earlier versions of your picture : One from
  93.       the beginning, one from the middle and the almost finished version.
  94.     - Don't put your signature in the competition version! All
  95.       pictures will be shown without the author's name.

  98.     MUSIC:
  99.  
  100.     - Only one song by one artist
  101.     - Maximum module size is 1024kb (1MB)
  102.     - Copies (straight sampling of metallica etc.) of known songs
  103.       will be disqualified.
  104.     - If you don't bring your own player, we will play the song
  105.       with the latest version of Inertia Player (1.2). Every tune made
  106.       with Fast Tracker (.XM) will be played with Fast Tracker 2.0.
  107.     - Maximum playing time is 4 minutes per song
  108.  
  109.  
  110.     The  competition machine  is  a standard  
  111.     486/66 VLB/PCi PC with 8 megabytes of memory 
  112.     Gravis Ultrasound (1024k) 
  113.     SoundBlaster Pro & AWE32 
  114.     Graphics card is TSENG ET4000/W32P PCi 1MB.
  115.  
  116.     If you  want to  change  something in your competition entry
  117.     after  the  competitions  (put a  signature  in your picture
  118.     for example or update .nfo files),  you  can  do it, but the
  119.     time is limited to an hour or so, after that your production
  120.     will be spread.

  123.     * IMPORTANT ! *
  124.  
  125.     The organizers  reserve the right  to  disqualify  any  competition
  126.     entry,  if  it contains  some  unsuitable material, such as racism,
  127.     porno or windows(tm) stuff:). Also the organizers reserve the right
  128.     to   change   the   competition  pricez  and  rulez  if  necessary.
  129.     A  specially  selected  jury  will take a look at every competition
  130.     entry   before  the   competitions.  The  jury  consists  of  party
  131.     organizers & a couple of volunteers.

  133.  
  134. GENERAL RULES
  135.  
  136.     - NO BOOZING OR DRUGS, if we encounter such events taking place,
  137.       we will confiscate the stuff to our own disposal :). Drunks
  138.       will be thrown out or escorted to jail.
  139.  
  140.     - If you break something, you must pay for it. You are fully
  141.       responsible for your actions.
  142.  
  143.     - Selling food is not allowed without the permission
  144.       from the organizers.
  145.  
  146.     - Smoking inside the party place is prohibited. Go out
  147.       and smoke some weed, we don't care.
  148.       Remember the new finish law about smoking :(
  149.  
  150.     - We do not take responsibility of illegal copying.
  151.  
  152.     - We do not take responsibility of unexpected events such as
  153.       police raids, floods and electrical failures. If the party
  154.       is cancelled for some reason, we are not obliged to pay back
  155.       the entrance fee (this is just for our trip to China:).
  156.  
  157.     - If necessary, take an insurance for yourself and your things.
  158.       We are not responsible if someone steals your stuff. But if
  159.       someone is caught of stealing, we let the cops take care of it.

  161.     - Let us know if you're coming! If we know exactly the number
  162.       of attenders, it will help a lot. 
  163.  
  164.     - If you or your group wants to be part of the organizing
  165.       team, contact us by phone or E-mail. We also need some
  166.       more sponsors for this event.
