  37. * THE STORY *
  38.
  39.         Follow REPORT.TXT if you're interested how long it took to make
  40.         this shit piece.
  41.
  42.         If this is boring, remember that this is made just to be art,
  43.         nothing special, only lots of colours and abnormal things. The
  44.         effects this demonstration uses are found in late 1500's but
  45.         we love the oldies.
  46.
  47.         Code is written in TP7 (..surprisingly..) and is more than 10
  48.         lines long. Graphics are drawn in DP2E. Music is composed with
  49.         ST3. Everything what you see is realtime calculated so that's why
  50.         this requires such a heavy processor to run. - the effects would
  51.         have been faster but i lamely sychronized'em directly to the
  52.         patternrows of the module so that's why those isn't so smooth.
  53.         (timersync is too fucking bore..)
  54.
  55.
  56. * PROBLEMS? *
  57.
  58.         First, remember our cute requirements (for 100% success):
  59.
  60.         Processor: i80486DX4/80Mhz
  61.                    DX/50Mhz or DX2/66Mhz goes _somehow_ too
  62.                    i80386 is min. what is REQUIRED, but it won't be too
  63.                    good on such a toy ;)
  64.
  65.         Monitor:   100% VGA compatible
  66.
  67.         Videocard: Cirrus Logic or any other good one
  68.                    (No trident please - Zeng _MAY suck a bit too but only
  69.                     in some lame configs)
  70.
  71.         Soundcard: Gravis Ultrasound with atleast 512kb of memory
  72.                    SoundBlaster (2.0/16/whatever should work)
  73.                    no sound (SHOULD work, but can't quarantee)
  74.
  75.         Memory:    Around 600kb's of conventional memory.
  76.                    Use HIMEM.SYS for XMS so the module can be loaded
  77.                    into XMS memory and some conventional can be saved
  78.                    for other purposes. (750kb of XMS is required and
  79.                    when you're using SB for playback you'll need some

  86.         P: Can't make it to work.
  87.         S: Try to avoid EMS-managers (such like EMM386, QEMM..) because
  88.            these may sometimes cause unexpected things. Of course you
  89.            need to have some EMS when using SoundBlaster, but who owns
  90.            such a thing anyway?-)
  91.            Or then you don't have compatible processor/VGA
  92.
