  2.                    - INTRODUCTION TO DEMOGROUPS iNTERCHANGE -

  5.  This file was made to give you only a quick overview of DGi Network, the best
  6.  demo network for demogroup boards. You should also read other info files for
  7.  specific regulations etc in DGi. 
  8.  
  9.  A SHORT OVERVIEW
  10.  ────────────────
  11.  
  12.   1) DGi is an international demonet with both msg and file-echo areas.
  13.      Message areas are of high-quality and file-echos are fast (0-2days). 
  14.   
  15.   2) File-echos offer an easy and fast distribution for DGi-members.
  16.      You're free to decide whether you want file-echos or not. More info
  17.      about DGi file-echo system can be found from hatch.DGi file.
  18.  
  19.   3) Only quality demoboards with demogroup affils (hq/dist) are allowed
  20.      to join DGi.
  21.  
  22.  After this real short introduction, wasting no more time, i'll tell you
  23.  how to join us.

  25.  REGISTRATION
  26.  ────────────
  27.  Procedures :
  28.  
  29.      Dginfoxx.zip includes file register.DGi. Fill it up. Send it to your
  30.      Country HQ or directly to Tommi Vuorenmaa (68:68/0) who takes care
  31.      of updating the DGi nodelist. (A special registration form for point
  32.      systems is also included in this package; regpoint.DGi). Also, you
  33.      can register online via Internet (address below).
  34.  
  35.      However, if your group is not well-known, please include somekind
  36.      of demo/intro or any piece of art your group has made - we'll check
  37.      it out, and decide whether you're accepted or not.
  38.   
  39.      DGi is free of any charges in almost every country. At the moment
  40.      only two country hq's ask for some small fee to cover the expenses.
  41.      Most propably you get DGi without any charges, and we tend to keep
  42.      it that way!

  44.   You can freq the most recent DGi infopacket from Methadone by the magic
  45.   name "dginfo" or the most recent DGi nodelist by the magic name "dginodes".

  47.   DGi Internet support: you are welcome to try it anytime and you should be
  48.   able to find the newest DGi stuff and online registration at the following:
  49.   "http://www.vision.auc.dk/~rvc/DGI/". Adminstrator is Rene Christensen.
