  49.    No long introduction... There will be a new Demo-Party in germany.
  50.    We do not expect it to be GiGANTIC or GREAT... we want it to be small
  51.    and special. We try to connect a little group of talented guys, cheap
  52.    entrance fees and some kewl prices for the Compos.

  54.    The main intention of MeKKa is, to create a GATHERING, with some WiRED
  55.    attenders who'll make it THE PARTY of the year.

  57.    We expect you to go on a pilgrimage to Mekka'96 and have fun you never
  58.    thought about.

  65.    The Party will be held near Hamburg, the second largest city in Germany.
  66.    We will rent a congress center with room for about 700 persons and 500
  67.    computers.

  69.    Date:     Friday 29 to Sunday 31 of March 1996.
  70.              The doors will be opend on Friday at 6pm.

  74.    Location: Veranstaltungszentrum "BURG" Seevetal in Hittfeld/Germany
  75.              That's very close to Hamburg.

  77.    The center lies between 3 motorways so it's the easiest way to get there
  78.    by car/bus, but to come by train and airplane will be possible, too,
  79.    although it is more expensive.

  88.    As you know Mekka will be held the first time in 1996. To calculate how
  89.    many people we have to expect please register. In return you will get
  90.    a reserved table for your computer(s). The earlier you reserve the better
  91.    will be the place of the table reserved for you in the party-room (to
  92.    read about registering scroll down a bit).
  93.  
  94.    Entrance fee:

  96.    You pay in advance  : DM 25,- / person (about 17 US-Dollars)
  97.    You are registered  : DM 30,- / person (about 21 US-Dollars)
  98.    Without registration: DM 35,- / person (about 25 US-Dollers)

  100.    The organisation is NON-COMMERCIAL!!! As usual the entrace-fee will be
  101.    distributed among the winners of the competitions.

  103.    We will be able to change foreign currency into deutschmarks during the
  104.    whole party (no coins!). Please consider that our exchange-rate may not
  105.    be very good.

  123.    We have not listed all of the features yet but here a list of the most

  128.      -» There will be a big screen of 5,5 * 3,7 meters!

  130.      -» There is a very nice SOUND SYSTEM available in the "BURG"!

  348.     The CD-ROM will be a co-production of the organisers and ROMWARE GmbH.
  349.     It is nessesary, that you authorise us to put your release on the CD-ROM.
  350.     You will NOT lose the rights of your productions. It will probably take
  351.     about 3 month to finish the CD, so it is possible to make a bugfixed
  352.     version if nessesary.

  354.     Additional we will produce a CD in limited edition AT the Party. It will
  355.     contain all productions but no menu or information. Just the files.

  363.    Nearly every party has a party T-shirt. We will produce a shirt, too...

  366.    local guy, who already designed VERY kewl shirts.
