TopBull has become quite the popular utility. So, I guess it's time
to make a history file.
4 July 1993
TopTen Version 3.0(beta) Is Finished. Because it's in beta test now,
PLEASE call back to recieve your FULL copy in about a month. It
NEVER fails, someone manages to find that little creepy crawly thing
that I over looked.
TopTen outputs 4 files: TopTen.0, Topten.1, TopTen.2, and TopTen.3.
Those files are the raw data files for you to do what ever you wish. Giving
you the flexibility to have the bulletins look SPECIFIC to your board.
(i.e. make EACH bulletin separate, using PCBoard's "%d:\file" tricks.)
I've included the sample SAMPLE.BUL for you to see what I mean.
22 June 1993
I've put A LOT of time into TopTen - Please Register Version 3.0.
$9.95 To:

Middletown, RI 02840
ALL REGISTERED USERS RECEIVE The Next Update FREE.

TopTen, Can now be named to TopBull. I've installed the ability
to set how many users you want to rank. (Up To Fifty!)
You can also display EACH TopXX file separately OR in ONE BIG bulletin
using PCBoard's " [ %d:\insert.fil ] " facility.
13 May 1993
TopTen now allows for TWELVE TPAs. ANY More TPAs? I'm afraid that
if you like it THAT much you'll need a custom copy. You'll HAVE to
give me a call at home.
9 May 1993
Hey, PLEASE REGISTER THIS DOOR! All you need to do is call the NCCBBS,
type REGTOP at the main command prompt, and my DOOR (silently) will
RE-COMPILE the code with YOUR name as the "Registered To:" person.
It's AMAZING The number of SysOps that called to tell me about
PCBoard V15.0 having too many TPAs, and I couldn't find them on my list
of registered SysOps. (The Registered TO: List Is Compiled by REGTOP
on my BBS.)
Allowed For More TPAs in the USERS.INF
(Version 15.0 Of PCBoard has a couple of it's own, now.)
8 May 1993
Added the ability to exclude an SL of xx from being included
in the downloaders list.
Added UPPER/Lower case names.
Sorry about those names such as McFly or Mc Fly - TopTen gets the name
from PCBoard in ALL UPPER CASE letters. I can look in between spaces
and make the adjustments there, but there is no way for TopTen to know
exactly where to make an adjustment. If you PREFER to see it back in
ALL UPPER CASE letters, send me your feedback.
