These actions range from using armor to zapping a wand. You may display a summary of available commands by pressing the question mark (?) character during play. The general rule is that you should press the character which coresponds to the item you wish to act upon. For example, if you wish to put on or take off armor, press A for armor. To drink a potion, press P for potion. To read a scroll, press S for scroll, and so on. There are a couple of exceptions to this rule. For example, to eat food press E for eat rather than F for food.
