  6. Fixed a bug in the newuser part of the Matrix when a three name user
  7. would apply for access it was not properly checking all three names
  8. against the trash can file.

  10. Well it seems that there has been a bug in the Random Screen's,
  11. The Way I found out was when I tried to install the 9th Ramdom
  12. Screen, It would not come up at all!!!
  13. Fixed.

  15. Also removed the Blinking Unregistered display from All PPE's
  16. in this PKG, All PPE's still need to be Registered but now that
  17. Blinking display has been Removed But also there is a Termination
  18. Date installed in the PPE's, This will let you Evaluate them
  19. and if you would like to keep running the THT-PPE's then
  20. Register them with Thomas E. Enstall @ <<THT>>

  22. Also change the Registration Number's since so many of you said you where
  23. Going to send in the Fee and have not Your Number's will no longer WORK!

  25. For those that have a REAL Registered version contact THT and you will 
  26. Recieve your New Number's. All you all will have to do is run "REGIT"
  27. I have re-writen this Program also now it uses a DATABASE to give out
  28. your number's so if you are not in the database no number's will be
  29. Generated also if your user name on THT is not the same as the one you
  30. Use in PCBoard.dat then I will have to generate a number for you since
  31. the REGIT uses your user name to get the number's.

  33. All THT PPE's now have new number's, Sorry about this but it seems that 
  34. there are Sysop's out there that are not good on there WORD, Where I 
  35. Come from your Word is GOLD. But as I have said there are alot of you
  36. out there that think This Program should be free, Well Sorry but it is
  37. Not and your Numbers will no longer Work Contact THT this time send 
  38. The Small donation. No Number's will be generated without the REG Fee!!

  49. Added reading of the TCAN file that is setup in PCBsetup
  50. for NewUser so that if there is a match it tell's them they
  51. can not use this login name and dumps them back to the Enter
  52. You Name prompt again, This was done so that when a newuser
  53. apply's for access and they use a name that was in tcan when
  54. the Matrix would dump there data to PCB it would Log them off
  55. with excessive input error's because it would not accept the
  56. Name as it was entered.

  65. Well changed the Way Login works before after entering the System password
  66. The Matrix would drop you to PCB now it jumps to the Enter Your Name
  67. Prompts and does a turbo Login afterwards. Changed all FDPUTLN commands
  68. to FPUTLN because it is still having problems with this new Command
  69. and some versions of the Beta's Since alot of you do not update the beta's
  70. All the Time.

  109. with a REAL RELEASE of the COMPILER, Well got a newer Compiler

  112. as of 01-12-94 Well when PCB 15.1 is release Hopefully the Code 
  113. will not have to be changed again.

  120. Well in this version I have optimized the Code
  121. added support for NUP to gain access to the Apply command
  122. this means that a NewUser must know the NewUser PassWord to even
  123. get this far. Since the New Compiler came out and the newer Versions
  124. of PCB 15.1 handle the PPE's differently had to change alot of the Code
  125. so that the 15.1 would work properly. Changed the Message Header
  126. so that now it Displays the User's Name and Subject.

  130. Fixed small bug in the Message Editor and another little problem
  131. with the way a user was able to leave a Comment when they had to
  132. many PassWord Failures.

  136. Well found a few problems with the way I was handling the PSA's if they
  137. where installed mostly it was display problems fixed!!

  139. There has been a problem in the FeedBack option from the Matrix
  140. one of the things was if you where to type something in the field
  141. for selection of the Sysop to send mail to then back space though it
  142. then tap enter it would go to the Message entry point FIXED!!!

  144. Also added some code so if a User was to enter a long message to one
  145. of the Sysop's the Header would go away now the text scrolls up the screen
  146. and the header is not moved at all.
  147. Added code so that if the Sysop has the System setup so that a user can 
  148.  
  149. Leave a Comment on PassWord Failure then it will through them into the
  150. Message System so that the User May Leave a Comment.

  154. Found a nasty BUG in Matrix v 2.13 say if a user had the knowledge of PCB
  155. he could possibly gain access to your Board with SYSOP LEVEL ACCESS.

  157. For this reason I would get rid of v 2.13 & any earlier Version's at this
  158. time.

  162. And to you HACKER's out there Hex-Editing the PPE's from now on may
  163. have a lasting affect on your Machine, I will not say anything more 
  164. about the Code I added to guard against these LAMER'S....
  165. Since $10.00 was to much for them to pay to get a REAL Reg Number for 
  166. the PPE's now Registration has gone up it's now $20.00....

  175. Well still there has been a few Bugs crop up, One had to do with the way
  176. NewUser where handled in some cases if you had replaced prompt 53 with
  177. say a ppe that could have caused some problems also there was a problem
  178. with the DOS Matrix where you couldn't turn off the Run another PPE
  179. and the PAGE.

  182. Well there was a bug in the way I was doing the Checking for the
  183. NewUser's it had to do with user's that used a period in there login
  184. name this has now been fixed.

  189. Cleaned up a Bug in the way the Matrix was reading the Level's
  190. I was reading the wrong Variable, Made some changes to the 
  191. Registration Number so that Boards that use HighAscii character's can
  192. now be Used. Added a few more Prompts to the MATRIX.CFG so take a look
  193. Before you install it. This one seems to be stable I have tested it on 
  194. The Hard Times BBS for almost a week Now with no apparent Problems.
  195. Also am Adding 5 minutes to the Time in the Matrix because of the Fact 
  196. that if a newuser is coming in and is taking his time filling out the
  197. Info PCB would display the 3 minute warning in the screen and then
  198. all cursor Location's afterwards wouldn't be Correct.

  202. Well it seems that I was to hasty in Releasing v 2.10
  203. It had a few really bad Problems, Like not checking the voted status
  204. of User's that are still going though NUV. and some other really strange
  205. problems this Version should Fix most if not all of these problem.
  206. Aslo added to the archive my little ppe that will force all user's to 
  207. use ANSI Color.

  212. Well in this one I changed the way the Matrix treats the Check for access
  213. prompt now if it's the DOS Matrix it will no longer display the Box like
  214. it will when you are in the LightBar Matrix, Also if you are in the LightBar
  215. Matrix and go to check for Access it no longer Display's the Second Box
  216. this makes the display look cleaner, Also added a Turbo Key for those
  217. that have been Accepted as a User it will tell them the first time they
  218. Check for access what the Turbo Key is. Added to the Config file for the 
  219. Prompt for when you are using the DOS Matrix is Now configurable also
  220. added an option to run another PPE from the Matrix Menu. Also
  221. added the Prompt for the Turbo Login Key to the config and an option
  222. of "Y" or "N" if you want to use it. Added a Password for the user's to
  223. enter when they Check for there Access this has to match there password 
  224. before they will be able to see the System Password, Also had the turbo
  225. login dump the PassWord so there is no Delay getting into the Board as 
  226. long as they are a Valid User. Added some code to take care of registering
  227. NewUser's into the Board it will now ask all the Question's that PCB does
  228. before they are dump to PCB so they can be added to the user file.
  229. Added code for the NewUser's to pick there default Protocol.
  230. Added a fix for the PAGE now it will only work between the time's that
  231. you have in PCBoard.dat, Change this after I had a user Paging me
  232. at about 4:30AM, Also now you can hit the space bar to start the chat.
