Brief Overview and SPECIAL Commands.
------------------------------------
This PPE neither contains advertising for MY BBS nor MY name. The reason for
this is because I do not like running PPEs (That are SUPPOSED to seem like part
of the BBS) with advertisements in them. Infact, that is why I made this one to
begin with.
This PPE allows SPLIT SCREEN chat in any 'ANSI' mode. When NON-ANSI ie: CTTY
mode, is detected this will enter into a normal chat mode with no ANSI cursor
positioning.
The user may, at any time, hit ESC and they will be shown some brief stats.
pertaining to their chat session. These statistics include... Time chat was
entered, Current time, Number of characters the sysop has typed, and the
number of characters the user has typed.
Installation.
-------------
This PPE can be installed anywhere, but mainly it should be put into
record #333 of the PCBTEXT file since it acts as the ACTUAL chatting function
and not the paging function.
1) Copy SPLTCHAT.PPE to the directory where you keep your PPEs.
2) Run MKPCBTXT to and your PCBTEXT file
3) Press the F3 function key and select record #333.
4) Type in the full path and filename for SPLTCHAT.PPE (preceded by an
exclamation point, as in !c:\pcb\ppe\SPLTCHAT.PPE). below..

This PPE is not crippled in anyway. I release FREE PPEs because there is
always going to be a Sysop that cannot afford to register every good program
that comes along; However, if you run a PAY BBS and this PPE is of use, a
donation of what ever you think this is worth would be appreciated, but not
necessary.
MONEY ORDERS only please. Mailing address and the name to make out payments to
are listed at the TOP of this doccument.
