  34. PageFocus is a Windows application that provides an extensive set
  35. of tools for creating document, graphics, forms, and database.
  36.  
  37. You create your own application with PageFocus forms.
  38. For application programmers, you can liscense the run-time system separately.

  44. This version contains all the features of a registered version except
  45. that the spelling check is disabled and that import/export is limited to
  46. bitmap, PCX and PageFocus files.  This is due to the third party DLLs that
  47. we use for spelling check and bitmap editing functions.

  49. If you do hard-copy print, you will find an "Unregistered PageFocus" placed
  50. at the bottom portion of the page as a reminder.

  52. The run-time program, EX.EXE, now stores records in multiple-record file.
  53. Thus, it allows you to set up your own database using the forms designed
  54. with PageFocus.

  57. For Version 2.11 users, you will find a tremendous improvement.

  60. Note that:
  61. Any forms, databases that you create with the shareware version can be used
  62. in a registered version of PageFocus.  The "Unregistered .." marking will
  63. automatically removed by registered PageFocus.

  70.    The shareware version is released for your evaluation only.
  71.    If you decide to keep the software, you must register with
  72.    Creative Stars, Inc. to obtain the registered version.
  73.    ( $45.00 per copy plus $6 shipping/handling ).

  75.    The evaluation period is 30 days.  If you do not register after the
  76.    evaluation period, please remove all the files related to PageFocus
  77.    from your computer.

  79.    The full verion of PageFocus includes a spell checker for text editing,
  80.    and extended import/export of most graphic file formats, and bitmap editing.

  84.    The help file provides all the information you need to run the program.
  85.    A PageFocus file, USEGUIDE.PF, also contains useful information.
  86.    Another file, TIPS.PF, is useful for seeking frequently asked questions.

  88. 3. Minimum system requirements:

  90.         386 PC or up.  VGA, Must have a mouse.
  91.         Windows 3.1 or up.
  92.  
  93.         Shareware version takes up 2M Bytes of disk space.
  94.  
  95.         Full Version of PageFocus take up 3.5 M Bytes of disk space and
  96.         comes with a self install program.

  98. 4. The button bars described in PageFocus help file is based on a super-VGA
  99.    screen mode.  If your monitor is running on VGA mode, the button bar will be
  100.    slightly different from those described in the help files.
  101.    However, this will not affect the use of PageFocus because all the
  102.    button commands are available from the PageFocus menus.

  107. Shareware Version Installation:

  109. After unzipping your PFOCUS.ZIP, install PageFocus by running the
  110. install program.

  112. If you have a previous copy of PageFocus, you may want to save your original
  113. version in a separate directory and keep your original files.

  115. !!!  Important...  Must read... !!!.
  116. Note:   If you have a previous "unregistered version" of PageFocus, you must
  117.         remove all the old files and directories before installing the
  118.         new shareware version.  Otherwise, you may not be able to use the
  119.         new version.

  121.         The old .rcd files that were created by old EX.EXE can not be read
  122.         by the new EX.EXE.  Thus, if you need to use the old EX.EXE,
  123.         you must save your old version.

  138.                 Then, if you have properly set up fax on your computer, just
  139.                 fax it to as with the fax command in the File menu.
  140.                 Or, simply print a copy, then fax/mail to us.

  143.                 forms using fields and tables.
