Welcome to the Microsoft Basic Languages Forum.
The goal of the Basic Languages forum is to provide an open platform
for technical assistance. Self-help is HIGHLY encouraged. Please check
responses from other developers, Knowledge Base/Software Library
information and the download library files before posting a message to
Microsoft.
Steps for receiving Basic Languages Development support:
1. Check your documentation thoroughly.
2. Check to see if the answer is in the Knowledge Base
or Software Library.
3. Check the message threads in this forum for similar
issues.
4. If you do not find what you need from the above
sources, then leave a message to "ALL" in the
appropriate section in this forum or leave a
message to one of the Microsoft Section Leaders.
Microsoft Section Leaders and Expectations of Service The role of the
Microsoft section leaders is to provide technical answers and
information, including "how-to" and specific API/function questions.
They will do their best to answer questions addressed either to section
leader, or addressed to "ALL" that are not already answered by other
developers. The section leaders will watch for and correct any
incorrect technical misinformation. The Section Leaders are instructed
to provide technical information about Microsoft Basic Languages and
Development Tools only.
The section leaders will do their best to respond within 48 hours to
all questions addressed directly to them during standard business
hours. Questions posted on the weekends or holidays will receive a
response within two business days. The section leaders will also
maintain up-to-date technical information as it becomes available in
the MSBASIC libraries. Note: All messages and library files that
appear in this forum are public to the MSBASIC forum and participants.
General Forum Rules: All of the CompuServe rules regarding appropriate
language and previously copyrighted material apply.
* Please use upper and lower case for your name
and messages. Upper case is used for emphasis.
A message in all capitals looks like you are
"SHOUTING".
* All message sub-topics correspond to the same
Libraries and Conference Rooms.
* If you upload a file to be placed in the public
libraries, please upload it into the New
Uploads Library. Files remain in this Library
for about one month, at which time they are
moved to the appropriate library.
* We do NOT make any guarantees regarding
freeware or shareware available for downloading
from this forum.
For help with non-technical questions relating to Microsoft developer
products, services, and support, call the Developer Services Team at
(800) 227-4679 (6:30 am to 5:30 pm Pacific time) and select Ext. 11771.
Thanks for your interest and participation in our Basic Languages
forum.
