  18. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors, Disk Vendors and
  19. Computer Clubs who wish to distribute the GoCIS 1.01 package.

  29.                          Distribution Requirements

  32. Individuals who wish to distribute the GoCIS  package to friends or
  33. associates may do so in accordance with the restrictions outlined in
  34. LICENSE.TXT.
  35.  
  36. Computer Clubs and User Groups wishing to add the GoCIS  package to
  37. their disk library may do so in accordance with the Distribution
  38. Restrictions listed below.
  39.  
  40.    If you would like your Computer Club or User Group to be placed on our
  41.    mailing list for future upgrades to any of our products, please contact
  42.    us for complete details.  Our address, phone number, and CompuServe User
  43.    ID number is listed in DESCRIBE.TXT.

  45. Limited Distribution License:

  48. As the exclusive copyright holder for GoCIS , Logix Systems authorizes
  49. distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions.
  50.  
  51. ASP Approved Vendors in good standing are hereby given permission to
  52. distribute GoCIS  package.  Non-ASP member vendors must request
  53. permission prior to distributing this package.
  54.

  56. The GoCIS  package - including all related program files and
  57. documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed
  58. as a complete package, without exception.
  59.  
  60.    Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or installation
  61.    batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are acceptable.
  62.  
  63. No price or other compensation may be charged for the GoCIS  package
  64. A distribution fee may be charged for the cost of the diskette,
  65. shipping and handling, as long as the total (per disk) does not exceed
  66. US$8.00 in the U.S. and Canada, or US$12.00 internationally.

  68. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  70. The GoCIS  package CANNOT be sold as part of some other inclusive
  71. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging
  72. offer, without a written agreement from Parti-Soft.

  74.    ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the GoCIS  package
  75.    as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM
  76.    package) may do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.

  78.    Vendors (non-ASP Vendor Members) who wish to distribute the
  79.    GoCIS  package as part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk
  80.    set, or a CD-ROM package) must obtain permission from Parti-Soft
  81.    prior to beginning such a distribution.

  83.    If you wish to add any of our programs to a CD-ROM or other collection,
  84.    please check the release date of the version you have.  If the version
  85.    is over twelve (12) months old then please contact us to ensure that you
  86.    have the most current version.  This version was released in December,
  87.    1993.

  89. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:

  91. If you would like to distribute the GoCIS  package as a Disk-of-
  92. the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the
  93. following restrictions apply:

  95.    ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby given
  96.    permission to distribute the GoCIS  package under the Disk-of-
  97.    the-Month style of distribution.
  98.  
  99.    Others (non-ASP Members) must contact us in advance to ensure that you
  100.    have the most current version of the software.
  101.  
  102.    You cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month distribution to use up your inventory
  103.    of old (out of date) disks.  Only current versions may be shipped as
  104.    Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  105.  
  106. The PRINTED User's Guide may not be reproduced in whole or in part, using
  107. any means, without the written permission of Parti-Soft.  In other
  108. words, the disk-based documentation may not be distributed in PRINTED
  109. (hardcopy) form.
  110.  
  111. The GoCIS  package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.
  112.  
  113. You may not list any of our products in advertisements, catalogs, or other
  114. literature which describes our products as "FREE SOFTWARE".  Shareware is
  115. "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.
  116.  
  117. Parti-Soft prohibits the distribution of outdated versions of the
  118. GoCIS  package, without written permission from Logix Systems.
  119. If the version you have is over twelve (12) months old, please contact us
  120. to ensure that you have the most current version.  This version was
  121. released in April, 1991.
  122.  
  123. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  124. disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program
  125. except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall
  126. result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  128. U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S.
  129. Government of the computer software and documentation in this package shall
  130. be subject to the restricted rights applicable to commercial computer
  131. software as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical
  132. Data and Computer Software clause at 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The
  133. Contractor/manufacturer is Parti-Soft, 5225 Canyon Crest Drive, Ste.
