- Welcome to Amiga Voice Recognition.
-
- AniMan4 allows you to converse with an animated talking head to execute
- CLI commands, ARexx commands, or ARexx scripts by voice command. AniMan4 is
- completely multitasking and will run in the background, continuously
- listening for your voice command. AniMan4 requires either the PerfectSound3,
- Sound Master (Sound Magic), or a Generic audio digitizer. AmigaDOS 2.0
- is also required. Copy voice.library (version 6.1) to libs: before running
- AniMan4.
-
- If you have used an earlier version of voice.library since turning on
- your Amiga, you MUST reboot your Amiga after installing version 6.1. This
- will clear the older version from memory and allow AniMan4 to use version 6.1.
-
- Note for GVP DSS 8 users. You can use DSS 8 with AniMan4 in the Generic
- digitizer mode. However, since GVP will not release technical information
- regarding the DSS 8, I have not been able to provide software gain
- adjustment. The process to use is as follows. First connect your DSS 8
- digitizer and run the "DSS" program supplied by GVP with your digitizer.
- Open the Sampler Control Panel and select Input parameters to be used
- (I suggest left channel, sampler gain 8, and microphone input with filter).
- Then select "Monitor" to activate the DSS 8 digitizer with the input
- parameters you have selected.
-
- Without disturbing the digitizer, exit the "DSS" program and run AniMan4.
- As long as you do not choose another digitizer, or load a vocabulary file
- that was recorded using another digitizer, AniMan4 will operate correctly
- with the DSS 8 digitzer. Note that if you have used another digitizer
- previously, you may have to delete the "SaveFile.name" file before running
- AniMan4, since the presence of this file causes AniMan4 to automatically load
- the last vocabulary file you have recorded.
-
- Also included here is VoiceLibrary.doc which contains complete
- documentation for programmers interested in using voice.library themselves.
- I will be most happy to assist anyone attempting to use voice.library in
- their own programs. I can be reached on-line as:
