  1. This is disk 911 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  2. Below is a listing of the significant directories and their contents.

  5. GadLayout    A system for laying out gadgets in a dynamic font and locale
  6.         sensitive manner.  Note that it is not a graphical editor, but
  7.         a set of routines for programmers to use for much greater con-
  8.         trol in the laying out of gadgets.  Version 36.22 release 1.6
  9.         beta, includes source and an example program.

  12. GadOutline    A shared library intended to provide programmers with a means
  13.         of describing the general layout of a GUI in a font-independant
  14.         manner, taking care of the details of determining the exact
  15.         placement of the individual elements of the display and the
  16.         drudgery of creating and managing all of the gadgets.  In addi-
  17.         tion, it provides a very generalized mechanism for tracking
  18.         the state of all of its gadgets to support automatic resizing
  19.         and closing and opening of a window without loss of context.
  20.         Includes automatic hotkey support and a vector based drawing
  21.         module that can be used for everything from drawing frames
  22.         around groups of gadgets to creating custom images for BOOPSI
  23.         gadgets.  Version 2.0, includes the library, programmer support
  24.         files and some examples.

  27. PSM        Yet Another Public Screen Program.  It was primarily written as
  28.         a demonstration of the gadoutline.library, and is thus current-
  29.         ly very GUIcentric - it does no command line parsing for CLI
  30.         users or even look at its Workbench tooltypes.  On the other
  31.         hand, it does have a very sophisticated multi-window user
  32.         interface and allows almost complete control over the creation
  33.         of screens.  Version 1.0, binary only.
