  1. A few ParSNAG notes :

  4.     I originally wrote ParSNAG with two ideas in mind : 1) to aid in
  5. performing color separations on JX-80 printers, and 2) to humble a certain
  6. software company working along similar lines that kept referring to such
  7. information as 'proprietary!'.  Much to my chagrin, I found out that Caroline
  8. Scheppner already wrote a similar program just a few weeks after the 
  9. completion of ParSNAG.  (Great-Minds-Think-Alike Syndrome)

  11.     Anyhow. It may interest fellow developers to see how another
  12. programmer attacked the same problem; routing all parallel.device output to
  13. a disk file.  ParSNAG, like all of my tutorials, is profusely documented and
  14. performs its duties in a minimalistic, efficient manner.

  16.     I have also included a color-separation postprocessor that may be
  17. applied to files captured using ParSNAG & Scrimper, Dpaint, or whatever.  I
  18. make no claim other than that it works with Mike Paul's amazing Epson JX-80
  19. driver (included) and my EX-800.  I gotta tell ya, copying intercepted color
  20. pictures to PAR: is the BEST way to benchmark any graphic printer.  Make sure
  21. to close the ParSNAG window when you really, truly want the output to go to
  22. the printer.

  24.     Compile this code at your own risk, Lattice owners; I'm sure most
  25. Manx owners have by now figured out how to precompile the entire RKM #include
  26. library and functions.h file.
