  2.  SHORT description of KingCON
  3. ==============================

  5.    KingCON is a console-handler that optionally replaces the standard
  6. 'CON:' and 'RAW:' devices. It is 100% compatible, but adds some VERY
  7. useful features, such as..
  8.    * Filename-completion (TAB-expansion)
  9.    * A review-buffer.
  10.    * Intuition menus.
  11.    * Jump-scroll. (FAAST output!)
  12.    * Asynchronous typeahead. (Optional)
  13.    * Cursor-positioning using the mouse.
  14.    * MC68020-optimized version
  15.    * And more...

  19.  Installation and usage
  20. ========================
  21.  
  22.    If you don't like reading manuals longer than one screen-page, then
  23. install KingCON by running 'Installation'. This copies the necessary files
  24. and mounts 'KCON:' and 'KRAW:' for you.
  25.    To start a Shell that opens in a KingCON-console, type the following (in
  26. an already opened shell):

  28.     NewShell WINDOW KCON:
  29. or
  30.     NewShell WINDOW KCON:////Testing/CLOSE/JUMP

  32.    If you now want to try out the filename-completion, type this:

  34.        type s:sta
  35.  
  36.    Hit the TAB-key (directly after the last 'a'), and you will get the idea
  37. with filename-completion. Or do you always spell 'Startup-Sequense'
  38. correctly in less that 1 second?

  41. a thorough explanation of all the new features that KingCON brings!
