  23. This program creates a small intro on the bootblock of any disk which will
  24. appear after you insert the disk for booting.
  25. The first line can be up to 24 Letters, the second and third line can 
  26. contain up to 22 letters. Use spaces to put the text in the middle of the
  27. screen.The scrolling text can be up to 98 Letters.

  32. SAVE  : Put the intro on the disk in drive df0:
  33. LOAD  : Read an intro from the disk in drive df0:
  34. INFO  : something about the author !
  35. QUIT  : clear ?
  36. SHOW  : show the current intro. To return keep mouse button pressed and move
  37.         pointer away from the gadget. Now release the button.

  40. To destroy an intro use INSTALL (CLI).

  43. Attention : the old bootblock will be destroyed when you save an intro !
  44. You use Boot Intro on your own risk . It's your fault if you destroy a
  45. special bootblock used by a game.

  47. This program cannot read intros created by Boot Intro V1.0 and V1.1.

  51. Version V1.1 of BootIntro-Next Generation now checks if the intro
  52. was really written on the track. I got many calls from users
  53. complaining that the intro wasn't written on the track. First I
  54. didn't know the reason. But later I discovered two reasons :
  55.  
  56. 1. the Byte-Bandits-Virus copies itself to the bootblock if you
  57.    want to write your program on the bootblock. So there was
  58.    the virus instead of the intro on the disk !
  59.  
  60. 2. Some virus-protectors don't allow to write anything on the
  61.    bootblock - I've had no problems using VirusX and BootIntro.

  98. Dieses Programm erzeugt auf dem Bootblock ein kurzes Intro mit drei Kopf-
  99. zeile und einer Laufschrift, das sofort beim Booten nach dem Einlegen der
  100. Diskette erscheint.
  101. Die erste Reihe darf  bis zu 24 Zeichen lang sein, die zweite und dritte
  102. Zeile dürfen bis zu 22 Zeichen lang sein. Den Text muß man mit vorange-
  103. stellten Leerzeichen zentrieren. Die Laufschrift kann bis zu  98 Zeichen 
  104. lang sein.

  109. SAVE  : Mit diese Schalter kann das Boot Intro gespeichert werden. Die
  110.         betreffende Diskette muß ins Laufwerk df0: .
  111. LOAD  : Ein Bootintro wird geladen, sie können jetzt die Texte editieren.
  112. INFO  : Informationen Über den Autor
  113. QUIT  : Programm verlassen
  114. SHOW  : Mit diesem Schalter können Sie sich das Bootintro ansehen. Um wieder
  115.         zurückzukehren, Bitte Maustaste gedrückt halten und von dem Schalter
  116.         bewegen, oder, während das Intro sichtbar ist, die Maus bewegen und 
  117.         dann die Maustaste drücken.

  120. Ein Bootintro kann mit dem CLI-Befehl INSTALL wieder entfernt werden.

  122. Vorsicht : der alte Bootblock wird durch ein Bootintro zerstört ! Deshalb
  123. nur bei Disketten, die den Bootblock nicht nutzen, ein Intro erzeugen.
  124. Der Autor übernimmt keine Haftung für zerstörte Bootblöcke !

  127. Mit diesem  Program können  keine von BootIntro V1.0 und V1.1 erzeugten 
  128. Intros editiert werden !

  132. Version V1.1 testet nun auch wenn kein Fehler auftritt, ob das Intro auch
  133. wirklich auf die Spur geschrieben wurde. Viele Anrufer beschwerten sich,
  134. das Intro sei nicht auf die Diskette geschrieben wurden. Zunächst war ich
  135. ratlos, doch fand ich später zwei Erklärungen :
  136.  
  137. 1. Der Byte-Bandits-Virus kopiert sich selber auf den Bootblock, wenn
  138.    man ein auf den Bootblock schreiben möchte - so ist dann der Virus
  139.    statt des Intro auf der Disk ....
  140.  
  141. 2. Einige Virus-Protector-Programme (Virusschutzprogramme) erlauben 
  142.    keine Beschreiben des Bootblocks. Mit VirusX treten aber keine
  143.    Probleme auf.
