  1. In order to get this to compile with Lattice, I had to reduce the
  2. MAXLINECOUNT value from the original 20000 to 1000, which makes the
  3. binary of somewhat dubious value, assuming this sets a limit on
  4. the number of lines a file can have and still be processed correctly.

  6. I haven't tried to recode to work around the problem with Lattice C,
  7. or investigate if there is some magic option with Lattice that would
  8. solve the problem (I would still consider this to be a bug).  I've
  9. included this program in the library mainly as an intellectual curiosity,
  10. since there are other diff programs which can be considered to be
  11. "better" due to their wide usage, known behavior, and history of
  12. use.
