  10. A word to the wise: Never set the spacing and THEN do a printer reset.
  11.                     This tends to screw up printing.

  13. BTW, since this is now the Macview compatible driver, some folks have
  14. commented that the pictures are smaller.

  16. All you have to do is set your margins to 1 and 120, and you will get the
  17. largest possible picture. (120 is more than needed, but easy to remember.)

  19. Summary of features
  20. -------------------
  21. 1) Black and Color double-printing
  22.    -------------------------------
  23.    To get Black to print twice, select 'LETTER' quality mode in Preferences.
  24.    To make the other 3 colors print twice also, select 'SINGLE' part forms.
  25.    Selecting 'DRAFT' quality makes things print normally.

  27. 2) What 'CUSTOM' paper length does

  29.    There are some things that this driver does about handling paper that
  30.    I thought would be nice.

  32.    Normally, in starting a printout, you'll get a printer reset, followed
  33.    by one line-feed (to make sure everything is ready and lined-up). After
  34.    the printout is done, a form-feed will eject it from the printer.

  36.    BUT, if you don't want these (most desktop publishing programs don't work
  37.    well if these things happen), select 'CUSTOM' paper length.  No reset,
  38.    no line-feed, no form-feed.
  39. 3) General Stuff

  41.    Lines in printouts have been reduced.

  43.    If a color doesn't need to print, it doesn't cause a "blank" pass.
  44.    (If the line is white, all you get is a line-feed.)

  46.    I still have plans for more features.  The one that still is in the
  47.    early planning stage is to send the graphic data to a disk file as well
  48.    as to the printer, so that copies could be made with a COPY TO PAR:
  49.    command.  Don't expect that too soon, however.  AmigaDOS has been
  50.    bitchy about it so far.
