- Thanks Matt, but no dice. I still couldn't get it to work in
- local mode??? What I did do was get the latest version (time
- stamp of March 11) and recompiled everything. The host name
- problem is now gone (newton.physics.purdure.edu= --> newton.physics.
- purdue.ed=) but I found that the environment DNETHOST must get
- set in the child process when using "dtest" but not in the
- parent process. Consequently it was still no go until I set
- it by hand. Now I can do the local net just dandy!! I'm playing
- around with how to get the responce .vs. baud right (mucking
- around in control.c). Will let you know what I find out. Bye
- the way does this latest version still have problems with all
- those interupts on the select which was bringing the vaxen to
- their knees? Guess I'll find out tonight :-).
