  6. License to use AnalytiCalc is granted to all users provided that
  7. 1. This notice is included in its entirety.
  8. 2. AnalytiCalc may not be sold or distributed for profit by anyone.
  9.     However, copying fees (not to exceed $10. per disk) may be
  10.     charged, as done by Fred Fish or other distributors of
  11.     "shareware".
  12. 3. Any derived works produced in whole or in any part from these
  13.     sources must be available, with sources, on the same terms
  14.     as AnalytiCalc.
  15. 4. No copyright may be claimed by any other organization for AnalytiCalc,
  16.     either singly or as part of a collection. Presence of AnalytiCalc
  17.     on a bulletin board, online file service, or other system where
  18.     it is available for download or file transfer is permitted ONLY
  19.     where no such copyright is claimed. By placing AnalytiCalc online
  20.     to be downloaded, a service explicitly disclaims any copyright
  21.     claims on AnalytiCalc and on other files in its collection, in
  22.     the absence of a prominently placed disclaimer, which may in no
  23.     case claim any part of a copyright in AnalytiCalc or attempt in
  24.     any way to restrict the distribution of AnalytiCalc. Presence
  25.     of AnalytiCalc on a distribution service is permitted only where
  26.     the operators of the service disclaim any copyrights on AnalytiCalc,
  27.     and where they either also disclaim any copyrights on their
  28.     total collection (apart from copyrights owned by authors of
  29.     individual programs) or where they post a notice of just what
  30.     portions of their collections are copyrighted, which may not
  31.     include AnalytiCalc.

  33.     (This means that if AnalytiCalc appears on Compuserve, either
  34. they have abandoned claims of copyright on their collection, and presence
  35. of AnalytiCalc is evidence for this, or they must post a prominent
  36. disclaimer stating just which of their collection is copyrighted as
  37. a collection. AnalytiCalc may not be included in this list.)

  39.     Finally, the author has put a considerable amount of time and
  40. effort (also money) into developing this code. If you find it useful,
  41. you are asked for either:
  42.     1. A donation of some code you're writing (with source and documents
  43.         so I can learn something too), or
  44.     2. A donation of $10.00 to help me buy supplies and keep doing
  45.         improvements.

  47.     I've decided to ask for donations of $10 partly because I think
  48. shareware needs to be substantially cheaper than commercial software if it's
  49. to succeed. I'd like this to be a useful and USED package, and want it
  50. to get to as many hands as possible. And if some of those hands decide to
  51. improve it, I ask that they please let me have a copy of the improvements
  52. which I can then share again in return.
  53.     Ports to other machines are encouraged also, with the proviso that
  54. the author (me) get a copy of the port also, and that the port remain
  55. available on the same terms as the original. If you port this program to
  56. another processor and OS (except MS-DOS, I've done that), you have my
  57. blessings and permission to ask for the $10 donations to you rather than
  58. me, PROVIDED I get a copy of the port including sources.
