  6.    P-Suite is an integrated set of programmes for the production of brighter
  7.  and livelier computer text.
  8.  
  9.    Not so long ago texts were plain black & white;  docs, instructions, even
  10.  disk magazines were alike, plain, visually utterly without interest and
  11.  difficult to read.
  12.  
  13.    Led by the disk magazines colour and text-style changes were introduced, and
  14.  now even the occasional programme docs show slight signs of life.  The chief
  15.  barrier to wider introduction of color has been the difficulty of entering the
  16.  escape codes needed from normal text editors such as EMACS.
  17.  
  18.    But how many satisfactory printed magazine articles do you see without
  19.  illustrations ?  How many instruction manuals ?  How can you possibly do a
  20.  proper review of a game or programme without illustrations ?   So why should 
  21.  on-disk articles, instructions, reviews be any different.  The excuse is of
  22.  course that the necessary software has not been available.

  24.                     P-SUITE PROVIDES THE SOFTWARE.

  26.    P-Suite is based on P-Reader a dual mode general display programme.
  27.  
  28.    In one mode it displays normal texts in a similar manner to the many other
  29.  readers that are around, decompressing them if compressed.  It also has the 
  30.  ability to show pictures (IFF-ILBM) run animations (ANIM 5) and sounds (8SVX).

  32.   In the second mode it can show special text files in which pictures,
  33.  animations and sounds are interwoven with text.

  35.   The partner to P-Reader is P-Writer which makes the entry of escape codes for
  36.  color and style changes very simple, and helps in the preparation of
  37.  illustrated texts.

  39.   Once you start including illustrations of any sort the bulk of the file will
  40.  increase considerably.  P-Compress which is the fastest and most efficient
  41.  general compression tool available anywhere keeps size under control.

  43.   Provided that they obey a few rules, ANIM5 animations from any source can be
  44.  used in texts,  P-Animate is a full 3D animator which will do the job better
  45.  than most.

  47.   The utility P-FixLib patches the operating system so that compressed
  48.  executables, libraries, icons can be used as though they were in their normal
  49.  uncompressed state
  50.  
  51.   Finally P-Index.  Finish off your diskmag or programme disk with an index
  52.  that is as lively as the text itself and save on disk-space as well.
