Instructions
1 Starting a Copy of a Fish Disk from CD-ROM to Floppy Disk.
1.1 First select at least one Floppy Disk Drive to copy to. You can
select up to 4 disk drives to copy to if you want more than one
copy of the Fish Disk. Just click on the button(s) for the
desired Floppy Disk Drives which are available. The buttons
are named DF0:, DF1:, DF2:, and DF3:.
1.2 Next enter the number of the Fish Disk you desire to copy by using
the mouse to enter the number using the number key pad. The number
you enter is listed below the key pad. You can also enter the number
of the Fish Disk you desire by using the number keys on the CDTV
remote control or a keyboard if attached. Press the CLR button to
clear the number if you wish to change your selection. Pressing
the STOP button on the CDTV remote will also clear the number.
1.3 Once you have selected the Floppy Drive(s) to use and the number of
the Fish Disk, just click on the COPY DISK button to start the copy.
You can also start the copy by clicking on the CPY button on the
number keypad, or by pressing the PLAY button on the CDTV remote.
A status window will open during the copy and ExpressCopy will ask
you to insert the floppy disks needed. ExpressCopy will overwrite
any data already on the disks inserted. You can have ExpressCopy
check the disk and ask you if you want to overwrite the disk by high
lighting the CHECK DISK button before starting the COPY. If you want
ExpressCopy to VERIFY the data written to the disk(s) you can high
light the VERIFY button before starting the COPY. If a NON DOS DISK
is inserted ExpressCopy will automatically format and verify the disk.
2 Performing the copy
2.1 When you start the copy by selecting the COPY button, a window will
open and ExpressCopy will ask you to insert the floppy disks needed
to perform the copy.
The Window will list the name of the Fish Disk being copied, the
Floppy Drives being used, and will display the Status of the copy.
Once the COPY has started the ABORT and HALT buttons will be made
available for you to use.
2.2 The ABORT button can be used to abort the copying of the Fish Disk.
ExpressCopy will pop up a Requester and ask if you really want to
abort.
2.3 The HALT button is used to temporarily halt the copying of the Fish
Disk to Floppy. While it is halted you can use the Floppy Drives
normally. The HALT button will change to RESUME. To restart the
copy, just select RESUME. ExpressCopy will prompt you to re-insert
the disks being used if they aren't present.
