For what is the Mediamat usefull?
---------------------------------
1. As an application manager for selfmade or commercial CDs
2. As a file manager for external media (like zip disk)
3. For quick access to your applications in your windows environment
4. As a time controlled application autostarter
5. As an alarm clock (also with soft message)
There are a lot of usefull thinks you can arrange with the Mediamat.
The benefit of it is the variable address methodes.
1. Relative address methode:
If you produce your own CD you can show the users the contents of the disk and
allow him the direct start of the applications.
Because the producer of the disk has no information about the users drive letter
of their CD players, the Mediamat has a relative address methode available.
2. Absolute address methode with ASD:
But as well you can organize your own applications and any kind of file types.
You can define the pathes to the files by using the absolute address methode
because the Mediamat will automaticaly correct changes of the drive letters.
This feature is called "Automatic Search for Drives" (ASD).
Some examples you can organize.
- Table of contents of CDs and changeable disks
- Collection of main applications of your system
- Library of documents (Word/Excel...)
- Picture library
- www addresses
- and more...
Well the Mediamat is also able to handle URLs (www addresses).
Because you can define three pathes for each entry you can arrange
a combination like...
1. open an application (exe)
2. open a readme (txt/doc) or help file (hlp)
3. load the applications website in a browser (htm)
Mediamat can handle URLs that beginns with http:, www, ftp:, news:, file: and mailto:.
An other interessting feature is the Pop window.
In combination with the systray you have very quick access to your most important
applications of your Windows environment.
The build in Timer allows you the autostart of any file type hourly, daily, weekly,
monthly and once. Also 5 alarm clock modes are included from a bell to a smooth
requester that does not hinder your normally work.
>> The Readme information will stop here for this moment.
Please download an update of the Mediamat because it is in an early development state.
