  7. This README.TXT file covers late-breaking news and usage tips for
  8. Norton AntiVirus Scanner.

  10. Installing Norton AntiVirus Scanner
  11. ===================================
  12. If you are using the NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 from Novell and
  13. see the message "Error - Could not make Setup.exe the shell" during
  14. installation from a network directory, copy the Norton AntiVirus Scanner
  15. files to a temporary directory on your local hard drive then run Setup.exe
  16. from the new location.

  18. VIRSPEC.TXT
  19. ===========
  20. In addition to README.TXT, Norton AntiVirus Scanner provides a file
  21. called VIRSPEC.TXT, which is located in the directory where Norton AntiVirus
  22. Scanner is installed.

  24. VIRSPEC.TXT contains information about viruses that cause unique problems
  25. and require special handling, as well as statistics about recent virus
  26. outbreaks.

  28. The VIRSPEC.TXT file is updated monthly by Symantec. The new version is
  29. distributed with an updated virus definitions file, which Norton AntiVirus
  30. Scanner uses to catch newly discovered viruses. See "About updating virus
  31. definitions" in help for information on how to get the updates.
