Telego can be played on Delphi in the Modem Games area, but the first time
in the area can be confusing. The following outline will help you get
started. I make the assumption that you are using a communications program
with the ability to shell to DOS, although you could use Telego itself
without the communications program.
1. Connect with Delphi.
2. Go to the Modem Games area of the Entertainment lobby.
3. Go to the Game Room.
4. Check to see if your opponent is in the lobby by typing /WHO.
5. When your opponent arrives in the lobby, agree on the protocol you will
use (Telego or Standard Go Modem; Telego is recommended, but Std is
necessary if the opponent is using Nemesis or a similar program) and
challenge him/her to a game by typing /CHALLENGE <opponent's name> GO.
6. He/she accepts the challenge by typing: /ACCEPT. After a few seconds
a message telling you to start the game will appear.
7. Exit the comm program by shelling to DOS or exit without dropping the
connection (see your comm program's manual).
8. At the DOS prompt run TELEGO (you may need to change directories first.)
In TELEGO select Modem Game, then the agreed upon protocol, then enter
the game by selecting GO BOARD from the menu.
9. When you finish playing your game(s) exit TELEGO but *do not* disconnect
the modem.
10. At the DOS prompt type EXIT (if you shelled to DOS) or restart your
comm program.
11. Key: <ctrl><X> three times and you will be returned to the Game Room.
12. To exit the Game Room type /EXIT.
