  3. The 'SAMPLE.PCX' file is an example of the kind of .PCX file which can be
  4. imported into the Reel Design Kit by pressing the '.PCX Import' button with
  5. the Left Mouse Button.
  6.  
  7. To load other PCX's into the Reel Design Kit, they must be 64 pixels across,
  8. 64 pixels deep and have 256 colors (preferrably with the palette the same as
  9. in SAMPLE.PCX or the default 256 color palette in Deluxe Paint II² for the PC).

  11. If you want to make a PCX file to load into RDK, simply load the SAMPLE.PCX
  12. into your paint program. Your paint program should then (if it is any good!)
  13. change the mode to 256 colors, and keep the picture size as 64x64, whilst
  14. also keeping the palette colors the same ! Simply clear the picture and do
  15. your drawing then 'Save As ...' something other than SAMPLE.PCX.
