- GENERIC STUFF:
- --------------
- See the CODE.NFO, all that aplies there aplies to WINCODE as well.
-
- WHAT IT IS:
- -----------
- CODE.EXE can be run without probloms within the Windows Enviornment. But it
- is still a DOS application, and hence does not have the standard GUI in which
- Windows users are used to. Hence WINCODE has been created for those Die-hard
- Windows users, who refuse to use CODE.EXE as a Dos Window running in Windows.
-
- WINCODE.EXE is basicly just a shell for CODE.EXE, which what that means is
- that WINCODE.EXE uses CODE.EXE to do most of the low-down work. So in lamens
- terms what this means is DO NOT erase CODE.EXE, you need it to run WINCODE.
-
- INSTALLATION:
- -------------
- 1) FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN CODE.NFO FOR THE MAIN CODE PROGRAM
- 2) MOVE THE VBRUN300.DLL FILE TO YOUR WINDOWS SYSTEM DIRECTROY
- EX: COPY VBRUN300.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
- 3) CREATE A PROGRAM MANAGER ITEM FOR THE WINCODE PROGRAM.
-
- WHEN RUNNING CODE IF YOU HAVE PROBLOMS WITH THE GRAPHICS PART OF THE PROGRAM
- PLACE THE 'N' LOAD PARAMTER AT THE END OF THE WINCODE.EXE PROPERTIES LINE.
- EX: WINCODE N
-
- THE FOLLOWING FILES ARE MADE BY WINCODE DURING RUN TIME
- -------------------------------------------------------
- 1) SYSTEM_DIR\WINCODE.INI - EX: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\WINCODE.INI
- -- Do not delete this file, unless you wish to un-install WINCODE.EXE
- 2) CODE_DIR\_T_PCX_\ Directory - EX: C:\CODE\_T_PCX_\
- -- This dir is created during WINCODE use, but deleted once proper exit
- from WINCODE accours, that is Close the Application, dont do a ENDTASK.
- 3) A FEW TEMP FILES IN CODE_DIR which get deleted as by WINCODE.EXE
-
- UNISTALLING
- -----------
- 1) REMOVE PROGRAM ICON FOR WINCODE FROM PROGRAM MANAGER
- 2) CD SYSTEM_DIR
- EX: CD C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\
- 3) DEL WINCODE.INI
-
- WINCODE WILL NOW BE UN-INSTALLED.
- TO GET RID OF CODE.EXE AS WELL.
-
- 4) CD CODE_DIR
- EX: CD C:\CODE
- 5) ATTRIB -H -R *.*
- 6) DEL *.* and Answer Yes
- 7) CD \
- 8) RD CODE_DIR
- EX: RD C:\CODE
-

- Pictures.)
-
- Hints for finding Games
- -----------------------
- The DataBase is huge, and some games may not be as easy to find as others,
- Examples such as: The Flinstones, at times in the DataBase you will find the
- game as "FLINSTONES" or in some cases as "THE FLINSTONES". So when looking
- for a specific game keep that in mind, cause for some games I put begging
- words such as "THE" in and for some I did not. Also look for cases with
- abbriviations such as T.M.N.T. and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
-
- Key: (In the Codes what some of the Abriviations Mean)
