  1. This archive contains the HPFS4DOS.doc document I wrote to help you access 
  2. your HPFS partitions under DOS, using any of the drivers available on the 
  3. Internet.

  5. To write this I looked into the hobbes.nmsu.edu archives, in the ~/dos 
  6. directory, where I found two HPFS drivers for DOS:
  7.   - iHPFS        Marcus Better   <Marcus.Better@abc.se>
  8.   - HPFS Access  Andreas Kinzler <akinzler@rbg.informatik.th-darmstadt.de>

  10. I'm also including copies of the ASSIGN.com commands for MS-DOS, which I 
  11. downloaded from ftp.microsoft.com. If you are running DOS v6.20, then 
  12. rename ASSIGN.620 to ASSIGN.com.

  14. You will also find in here the translation of the instruction manual for 
  15. HPFS_access that I edited from what Bill Zirkle wrote. This translation 
  16. still has many errors, because I can't read German. HPFS_access is a 
  17. shareware HPFS<-->DOS driver written by Andreas Kinzler, and it's special 
  18. because it will let you not only read but also write in your HPFS 
  19. partitions.
