  2. Yet another program from the members of the Software Tools Group at the 
  3. National Center for Supercomputing Applications!
  4.  
  5. Import2HDF is a Macintosh program developed to provide conversion of FITS,
  6. TIFF, GIFF, PICT, Raw raster, and ascii file to the Hierarchial Data File
  7. Format developed here at the National Center for Supercomputing Application.
  8.  
  9. It requires a Macintosh II preferably with a 256 color display.
  10.  
  11. The files in this directory are stuffed with StuffIt, a widely available
  12. program for packaging and compressing groups of files.  You need version
  13. 1.5 or later which is available on this server.

  21. Bug Fixes in version 1.0.1 (12/14/90):
  22.  
  23.   Several minor bugs have been fixed in this version.
  24.   
  25.   The only major bug fix concerns the conversion of FITS file. One
  26.   type of FITS file comment was not recognized, causing some fits file
  27.   not to be converted. This has been fixed.

  29. Bug Fixes in version 1.0.3 (12/06/91):

  31.   Two bugs in the conversion of Ascii files have been fixed.

  33. Bug Fixes in version 1.0.4 (12/10/91):

  35.    A stupid bug I created a few days ago in creating 1.0.3. The scientific
  36.    data sets max and min are now written to the HDF file correctly.
