HYPERCARD ANIMATOR
HyperCard Animator Package is a toolkit for persons wishing to animate a series
of vector graphics frames in HyperCard. The package contains four items, the
NCSA TektoPICT application, a HyperCard Template, the documentation and a Tek
4010 example file. All of the tools as well as the documentation is also
include in the Stuffit volume in this directory.
The idea behind the package is that many scientists and other people doing
graphics may wish to make a quick movie of their plots. Most vector graphics
packages have a driver for creating Tek 4010 output. The user will create a
file containing a series of Tek 4010 frame which he wished to animate. This
file is downloaded to the Mac, and then NCSA TektoPICT is used to convert this
file into a file containing PICT resources.
The HyperCard template has a special XCMD which reads PICT resources created
by NCSA TektoPICT. After the files are read in, people can control the
simulation with the provided buttons. As always with HyperCard, users are
encouraged to add functionality, however the import of frames should not be
altered in any basic way, as most of the program is contained in the XCMD, not
in HyperCard Script language.
Please read the documentation for more details.
