  1. Notice of Motion to Amend MUUG By-Laws
  2.  
  3. To be tabled as a Special Resolution at the Annual Meeting
  4. on October 8, 2002.
  5.  
  6. That the MUUG By-Laws (Draft 6, dated September 28, 1992) be amended
  7. as indicated below:
  8.  
  9. 1. (f) shall now read as follows:
  10.     "UNIX is a registered trademark of The Open Group
  11.     in the United States and other countries"
  12.  
  13. 3. (c) shall no longer include:
  14.     "(e.g.: UniForum and its affiliates)"
  15.  
  16. 3. last sentence of last paragraph shall no longer include:
  17.     ", and supporting the activities and initiatives of UniForum Canada"
  18.  
  19. 5. (a) "not less than five Directors" shall be revised as follows:
  20.     "not less than three Directors"
  21.  
  22. 11. (f) shall be deleted.
  23.  
  24. 11. (f) shall now read as follows:
  25.     "The Treasurer will report directly to Members at a general meeting
  26.     at least once per year."
  27.  
  28. 12. (c) shall be deleted.
