  4. PC 98 System Design Guide, co-authored by Intel Corporation and Microsoft Corporation, 
  5. presents a collection of PC system, bus, and device design requirements 
  6. for 1998-99. These proposed requirements provide design guidelines that 
  7. will result in an optimal user experience on client PCs running the 
  8. Microsoft« Windows« 98 or WindowsáNT« Workstation Version 5.0 operating systems. 
  9. These guidelines also provide the basis for the 1998-99 "Designed for Windows"
  10. logo program at Microsoft.

  13. The PC 98 download file contains the v. 1.0 text in Microsoft Word format. 
  14. These files can be viewed in any text editor that can read RTF format, 
  15. including all versions of Microsoft Word, WordPad, and Microsoft Word Viewer.
