  7. WFWFILES.EXE

  9. WFWFILES.EXE is a self-extracting file that includes the same update files 
  10. for the Windows for Workgroups version 3.11 client as those found in the 
  11. \CLIENTS\WFW\UPDATE directory on the Windows NT Server version 3.51 CD-ROM.

  14. TCP32B.EXE
  15.  
  16. Microsoft TCP/IP-32 version 3.11b for Windows for Workgroups 3.11 includes 
  17. our latest NDIS 3 protocol stack supporting Windows for Workgroups 3.11.  
  18. Microsoft TCP/IP-32B includes a number of diagnostic utilities, support for 
  19. DHCP automatic configuration and industry standard Windows Sockets support 
  20. for third party and public domain TCP/IP applications such as NCSA Mosaic.
  21. This stack requires Windows for Workgroups to run, and cannot execute 
  22. outside of Windows (e.g., in MS-DOS before running Windows for
  23. Workgroups). See UPDATE.TXT in this directory for more details.

  25. NOTE: When you upgrade to TCP/IP-32 3.11b, you should also update your 
  26. Windows for Workgroups operating system with the files found in the 
  27. \CLIENTS\WFW\UPDATE directory on the Windows NT Server version 3.51 CD-ROM 
  28. or in this directory in the self-extracting file, WFWFILES.EXE. This update 
  29. is necessary to logon to a Windows NT domain over routers when using 
  30. TCP/IP-32 for Windows for Workgroups version 3.11b.

  33. WFWTCP.EXE

  35. Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows for Workgroups includes the real mode NDIS 2 
  36. protocol stack to support connecting computers running Windows for 
  37. Workgroups together or computers running Windows for Workgroups to Windows 
  38. NT using the TCP/IP protocol. Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows for Workgroups 
  39. does not include any TCP/IP utilities, however support for the Windows 
  40. Sockets Interface is provided allowing any Windows Sockets-compatible 
  41. TCP/IP utility including terminal emulators and file transfer software.

  44. WFWDLC.EXE
  45.  
  46. Microsoft Data Link Control (DLC) Protocol for Windows for Workgroups 
  47. allows computers running Windows for Workgroups to operate in IBM SNA
  48. environments and to connect to mainframes and minicomputers, such as the
  49. AS/400. The DLC interface is most commonly used by 3270 terminal emulators 
  50. to communicate to IBM mainframes. Support of the emulators is the main role 
  51. of the Microsoft DLC protocol. Products from companies such as DCA, 
  52. Attachmate, IBM, Microcom, and Wall Data support the Microsoft Data Link 
  53. Control Protocol.
