  7. Thank you for your interest in Application Inventory.

  9. Application Inventory is a utility that scans your system for
  10. program .exe files and generates a configurable report about
  11. the files that were located. Optional follow-up scans are then
  12. initiated to cross reference the initial scan results with
  13. windows .lnk shortcuts and/or references in the windows
  14. registry.  Further details on files are available from
  15. Properties and References dialogs.  Include and exclude filters
  16. are available to define the initial search by path &/or
  17. string(s) found in file version information. The fields
  18. included in the initial file scan is configurable.  Results be
  19. sorted, copied to the clipboard, printed, or saved in a
  20. delimited file you specify.  Application Inventory can also
  21. launch windows explorer on the path containing a file in the
  22. results list. Although Application Inventory is intended as a
  23. reporting tool, various windows properties sheets can be
  24. launched that allow you to make edits to file or shortcut
  25. properties. The program defaults to scanning for .exe files but
  26. a special switch is available to scan for another file type
  27. that you specify.

  29. Application Inventory is compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP, Windows
  30. 2003, and Windows Vista (all versions). 32-bit and 64-bit (x64)
  31. versions are available.

  33. Windows 95/98/ME is no longer officially supported.

  36. have SP 6 installed.
