  7. LICENSE AGREEMENT AND WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

  9. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  10. before using this software. Use of this software indicates your
  11. acceptance of these terms and conditions.  If you do not agree
  12. with them, do not use the software.

  15. SHAREWARE VERSION LICENSE
  16.  
  17. The Shareware Version is not free software.  If you are using the
  18. Shareware Version you are hereby licensed to use this software for
  19. evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days.  If
  20. you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period a
  21. registration fee is due (see Ordering Information).

  23. If you are using the Shareware Version of the software you are
  24. also hereby licensed to: Make as many copies of the Shareware
  25. version of this software and documentation as you wish; Give exact
  26. copies of the original Shareware version to anyone; Distribute the
  27. Shareware version of the software and documentation in its
  28. unmodified form via electronic means.  There is no charge for any
  29. of the above.

  32. period is in violation of federal copyright laws.

  34. You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or modify
  35. any version of Shortcut Doctor (shareware) in any
  36. manner.

  39. REGISTERED VERSION LICENSE

  41. One registered copy of Shortcut Doctor may be dedicated to a
  42. single person who uses the software on one or more computers or
  43. workstations that are for their own exclusive use and for which
  44. they are the sole user.

  46. The purchase of a single user license specifically does not permit
  47. use of the program to modify, update, or search multiple
  48. workstations, directly or indirectly, via any means.  A single
  49. user license may not be made available in any form to multiple
  50. users or workstations.

  52. Licensing is not based on "concurrent" users.  If multiple
  53. workstations are to access the program in any form and for any
  54. length of time you must purchase licenses for the number of
  55. workstations that will access the program.  If you make the
  56. registered version of Shortcut Doctor available through a network
  57. and accessible by multiple people or workstations you are required
  58. to purchase licenses for the software covering all workstations
  59. that will access the software through the network.  Special
  60. pricing is available for multiple licenses.  See Ordering
  61. Information for information on how to purchase (register).

  67. WORKSTATION UPDATE AND/OR SPECIAL USE LICENSE

  69. Special licensing (and pricing) is available for modifying or
  70. searching multiple workstations, directly or indirectly, via
  71. scripts, command line processing, or logon routines.  The purchase
  72. of a special use license allows you to use the program to update
  73. the number of workstations for which you purchased special use
  74. licenses for.  Unless otherwise noted at the time of your
  75. purchase, a workstation update/special use license specifically
  76. does not allow individual workstation users to access the program
  77. for interactive use.  Do not create desktop shortcuts or launchers
  78. that allow workstation users to access the program outside of the
  79. specific update routine for which you purchased the special use
  80. license.

  86. OWNERSHIP RIGHTS

  88. Funduc Software, Inc. owns and retains all copyrights, patents,
  89. trade secret rights, trademarks and intellectual property rights
  90. to this software. Registration &/or use of the software does not
  91. grant you any right to the intellectual property in the product.

  100. RESTRICTIONS

  102. You are prohibited by law from selling, renting, leasing, loaning,
  103. or donating the program or documentation in whole or in part
  104. without specific advance agreement between yourself and Funduc
  105. Software, Inc.  You are prohibited by law from redistributing the
  106. program by any method or in any form except to the specific
  107. individuals for whom the software was purchased.  You are
  108. prohibited from decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling,
  109. or otherwise reducing the program to human readable form for any
  110. purposes whatsoever.  You may not modify the program or
  111. documentation in any manner.  You are prohibited from permitting
  112. anyone else from undertaking any of the above actions.

  114. You may not decompile, disassemble, modify, or reverse engineer
  115. Shortcut Doctor (registered or shareware) in any manner.

  120. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  121. Michigan, United States

  124. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

  126. This software and the accompanying files are sold "as is" and
  127. without warranties as to performance of merchantability or any
  128. other warranties whether expressed or implied.  In particular,
  129. there is no warranty for the string Replacing feature.

  131. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be
  132. thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it.
  133. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. Any
  134. liability of the seller will be limited exclusively to product
  135. replacement or refund of purchase price.
