  47. Search and Replace looks through multiple files for a string and
  48. can also replace it with another string.  It can search
  49. subdirectories and ZIP files and do case sensitive or insensitive
  50. searches. Extensive support for regular expression (egrep) search
  51. & replacement includes operations that span more than one line,
  52. insertion of the path & filename during replacements, and
  53. incrementing number replacements. Binary search & replace mode can
  54. be combined with regular expressions.  Precise control over
  55. replacements is available through multiple confirmation options
  56. and a built-in context viewer that allows you to view replacements
  57. in- context, before they are made. An HTML Mode can be used to
  58. make html special character code substitutions during
  59. search/replace. Ignore Whitespace mode makes it convenient to
  60. handle spaces & cr-lf during non-regular expression operations. A

  88. Replace Studio is a cousin to our award winning Search and Replace
  89. utility. Replace Studio searches through one or more files for a
  90. string and can replace that string with another string. Choices
  91. for search settings include: Subdirectory Search; Archive Search
  92. (Zip, Tar, Tar.Gz, Tar.Z, Tgz, Taz); Case Sensitive; Whole Word;
  93. Ignore Whitespace; HTML Mode. File Masks and file size &/or date
  94. Filter settings are available for further choices about the files
  95. to be processed. Like Search and Replace, Replace Studio has
  96. extensive regular expression (egrep) search & replacement
  97. functionality for complex search/replaces. A Favorites menu and
  98. script editor simplifies user control over frequent &/or complex
  99. multi-step search/replace operations. Replacements in files in
  100. supported archives can be done directly - no need to manually

  123. expressions for use in our Search and Replace utility. The program
  124. can be used to help you learn the syntax or debug complex
  125. expressions involving many operators. You can visualize the effect
  126. of each of operator in a sample text pasted into the Wizard from
  127. the clipboard or retrieved from disk. Operator effects are
  128. presented in-context, using colors to distinguish the current term
  129. from other parts of the overall expression. When you are
  130. satisfied, the final expressions can (optionally) be inserted the

  141. databases. We created FSDBMrg for internal use and have made the
  142. source code available under GNU Lesser General Public License
  143. (LGPL). A working compiled sample and sample database are
  144. available. The source can be modified and compiled using free
  145. resources. Functions in the demo version & sample code include:

  158. Resource Translation Toolkit (RTT) is utility to simply
  159. translation work on po, rc, and tmx files. Various translation
  160. suites are available but they are expensive or limited to a single
  161. file type. Resource Translation Toolkit is low cost and can work
  162. with multiple file types. The program runs on Windows 2000 and
  163. above, is small in size (approx 3 MB including support files), and
  164. does not place extensive demands on your computer. Resource
  165. Translation Toolkit is for software authors, translators, and
  166. technical users.

  173. A multipurpose directory comparison and file manager for Windows
  174. 2000 and above (32-bit or 64-bit) that provides features missing
  175. from Windows. It displays single directory lists or side- by-side
  176. directory comparisons using color coding for alike, different, or
  177. missing files.  Comparisons can be based on dates or a binary file
  178. analysis of file content.  You can copy, move, & rename files
  179. while retaining long filenames and six built- in synchronize
  180. functions simplify updating directories. Built-in archive

  210. Funduc Software ZIP Extractor (freeware)

  213. A ZIP "self-extractor stub" that lets you turn your ZIP files into a
  214. self-extracting executable that will automatically unZIP the archive
  215. when launched. This allows you to share your zip files with another
  216. person who might not have an unzip software on their computer &/or
  217. who might have only occasional use for an unzip tool. The self-
  218. extractor allows some or all files to be extracted, create the paths
  219. in the zip file (default) or "flatten" the directory structure
  220. (unzip into a single path), or extract some (or all) of the files in
  221. the zip. Cost: Free.

  225. Registry Toolkit (shareware)
  226. ============================
  227.  
  228. Registry Toolkit lets you search &/or replace and edit the Windows
  229. registry.  You can specify the data types to process, start key,
  230. case sensitive, whole word.  Regular expression operations using
  231. an egrep-type syntax are also available.  You can create/edit
  232. keys, values, &/or data manually if you wish.  A unique
  233. 'operations' function lets you move/copy/delete/export values you
  234. select.  For example, you can copy/move keys from one location in
  235. the registry to another.  The program keeps multiple 'undo' files
  236. that can be used to reverse previous changes (10 is the default).
  237. An automatic 'last change' undo is available from the program GUI.
  238. Replaces can be previewed in advance, in- context.  Replaces can
  239. also be previewed in the context of an overall search - a
  240. comparison dialog then lets you select/deselect specific
  241. operations to perform before making the overall replace. The
  242. program can print search & registry browse results.  The .reg
  243. import function allows you to compare existing data vs data to be
  244. imported - specific items can then be selected/deselected.  The
  245. .reg export function can be used to make special .reg files that
  246. delete keys when merged via Registry Toolkit or our new RTMerge
  247. program (see our web site). The various program comparison dialogs
  248. are configurable and their contents can be copied to the windows
  249. clipboard.  The program can read DOS environment variables and use
  250. them in a search/replace. Script file & command line functions are
  251. available for automated &/or complex operations.  Registry Toolkit
  252. will operate on a remote registry (if you have permission to do
  253. so).  The program is for Windows 2000 and above (32-bit or 64-
  254. bit).  A German interface is available. Cost: $25

  258. RTMerge (shareware/freeware)

  261. Registry Merge is a command line utility that merges .reg files
  262. into the Windows registry. While this can be accomplished using
  263. regedit.exe, RTMerge has two added features: 1) The program can
  264. serve as a 'stub file' to automatically apply a .reg as an .exe.
  265. The .exe is prepared in advance. End users can then apply the .reg
  266. simply by clicking on the .exe. 2) The program can apply .reg
  267. files that delete keys. This is something not easily accomplished
  268. via regedit. See the program readme.txt for usage instructions.
  269. Cost: $11 or free to registered users of our Registry Toolkit.

  273. Folder Synchronize (shareware)
  274. ==============================

  276. Folder Synchronize is a command-line utility useful to network
  277. administrators and other power users.  It provides a subset of the
  278. functions in our Directory Toolkit utility, namely, the comparison
  279. & synchronize functions.  We created Folder Synchronize for those
  280. who needed those functions but not the GUI interface & other
  281. functions of Directory Toolkit such as archive management, file
  282. operations, etc. Folder Synchronize is a native 32-bit Windows
  283. executable.

  285. Folder Synchronize can synchronize two paths using one of 6 synch
  286. methods. The program can also do a comparison-only. This is useful
  287. with the output report function. When the output report is enabled
  288. it will contain a summary of the path comparison &/or a summary of
  289. the file operations carried out by the synchronize. Other features
  290. include: Switchable display (or not) of a progress meter; A custom
  291. bitmap & message of your choice can be displayed on the screen while
  292. an operation progresses; A 'No Cancel' switch can be used to make it
  293. less easy for a procedure to be interrupted; Require (or not)
  294. confirmation of file operations; Complex include/exclude file masks
  295. that let you include/exclude some file or subdirectories while
  296. including others; Multiple operations can be submitted to the
  297. program via multiple 'configuration files'. Cost: $25

  301. Folder Synchronize Script Editor (currently freeware)

  304. The 'Script Editor' is used to generate (or edit) script files
  305. that can then be used with Folder Synchronize or our Directory
  306. Toolkit utility. The script switches are presented in an organized
  307. arrangement. The display of related switches can be
  308. collapsed/expanded for readability.

  312. File Merge Express (shareware)

  315. File Merge Express is a file comparison and merge utility for 32
  316. bit Windows. The program displays a contents comparison of two
  317. files and can (optionally) create a third file consisting of the
  318. merge of the two files being compared. That third file can
  319. (optionally) be opened in the built-in text (or binary) editor.
  320. Multiple configurations choices are available for the file
  321. contents comparison and the merge file contents including:
  322. difference prefixes, display colors, whether or not to include
  323. common sections, etc. Command line switch and a script syntax are
  324. available for your automated routines. The program also includes a
  325. Windows Explorer extension that allows you to launch a comparison
  326. from Windows Explorer. Cost: $25

  330. Application Mover (shareware)
  331. =============================
  332.  
  333. Application Mover is a tool that relocates installed programs from
  334. one path to another on your hard disk. Application Mover takes
  335. files found in the path you specify and moves them to a new path
  336. that you specify. Application Mover scans the windows registry for
  337. references to files located in the 'Current' field and changes
  338. those references to the New path. Application Mover also scans all
  339. windows shortcuts in the Start Menu and adjusts path references to
  340. the new program location. Finally, *.ini and Install.log files
  341. present in the original program path are checked for strings
  342. matching the old path location. If found, these strings are
  343. changed to the new location. Confirmation dialogs are available.
  344. If a file is 'busy' and cannot be changed to the new location, a
  345. reboot prompt is offered. Pending changes are then completed after
  346. the reboot. Cost: $15

  350. Application Inventory (shareware)
  351. =================================
  352.  
  353. Application Inventory is a utility that scans your system for
  354. program .exe files and generates a configurable report about the
  355. files that were located. Optional follow-up scans are then
  356. initiated automatically to cross reference the initial scan
  357. results with windows .lnk shortcuts and/or references in the
  358. windows registry.  Further details on files are available from
  359. Properties and References dialogs.  Include and exclude filters
  360. are available to define the initial search by path &/or string(s)
  361. found in file version information. The fields included in the
  362. initial file scan are configurable.  Results be sorted, copied to
  363. the clipboard, printed, or saved in a delimited file you specify.
  364. Application Inventory can also launch windows explorer on the path
  365. containing a file in the results list. Although Application
  366. Inventory is intended as a reporting tool, various windows
  367. properties sheets can be launched that allow you to make edits to
  368. file or shortcut properties. The program defaults to scanning for
  369. .exe files but a special switch is available to scan for another
  370. file type that you specify. Cost: $15

  374. Duplicate File Finder (shareware)

  377. Duplicate File Finder is a tool that locates duplicate files on in
  378. one or more paths.  Unlike other utilities that only check file
  379. names, Duplicate File Finder performs a binary comparison of file
  380. contents and can locate files that are alike regardless of names.
  381. The scan can be defined by path, file mask(s), and (optionally)
  382. with complex filters for size/date/attribute.  Results can be
  383. copied to the windows clipboard or saved to a tab delimited file.
  384. Functions to delete files, launch Windows Explorer, and show file
  385. properties are available.  You can also launch a file in the
  386. results list by double clicking. Cost: $15

  390. Shortcut Doctor (shareware)
  391. ===========================
  392.  
  393. Shortcut Doctor allows you to check your Windows links/shortcuts
  394. and see which contain targets which can no longer be found. The
  395. program can then delete the shortcuts, resolve them, or carry out
  396. search/replace operations to modify shortcut fields with or
  397. without validation of new paths. Network Drive mappings can be
  398. inserted in the Replace dialog automatically. Individual shortcuts
  399. can be edited and all shortcuts on a drive can be displayed,
  400. regardless of whether they are valid or not. Explorer Internet
  401. URLS can also be checked for problems. CD-ROM drives, network
  402. drives, and specific paths can be ignored during processing.
  403. Includes an Empty Recent Documents button. Script files, run from
  404. the command line, allow you to do multiple operations, control
  405. program options, and easily specify complex paths. A German
  406. interface is available. Cost: $15.

  413. Funduc Explorer Extensions is a collection of enhancements for the
  414. Windows Explorer right-click context menu: a) Encode and Decode
  415. Email attachments - support for UUENCODE, Base64(Mime),
  416. BinHex(Mac), XXENCODE, quoted-printable, 7 bit unencoded, & plain
  417. text, b) Split and Concatenate large files into smaller ones for
  418. storage on floppies & visa versa. Split can be based on file size
  419. or a string found in a file, c) Touch files - change the time,
  420. date, & attributes of files. Touch can add (or subtract) a user
  421. specified time value from the current file time. d) File
  422. Operations - copy/move/rename/delete files using complex file
  423. masks. The program can also change case of file names & number
  424. files. A German version is also available. Cost: $15.

  431. Drive Bar allows you to conveniently open views of your drives in
  432. Windows Explorer. Drive Bar's Auto Hide function allows it to
  433. disappear from view when not in use so that it does not take up
  434. screen space when not in use. You can resize Drive Bar and have it
  435. remain visible at all times if you like. You can also specify a File
  436. Manager program to use instead of Windows Explorer, launch drive
  437. views as "Tiled" or not, not include specified drives in the list of
  438. drive icons, and have Drive Bar run automatically at Windows startup
  439. (see Options). Cost: $10.

  446. Update Toolkit is command line utility that provides 4 
  447. functions within a single application:
  448. - Moving/copying files
  449. - Changing and checking Windows shortcuts
  450. - Searching and changing the Windows Registry
  451. - Searching and changing text files
  452.  
  453. Update Toolkit is oriented towards administrators who need to
  454. perform these operations on multiple workstations. The program is
  455. launched with a single command line. Because no graphical user
  456. interface is involved, no special steps are required to disable a
  457. program GUI when routines are run on individual workstations.
  458. Progress meters and confirmations are available if you like but
  459. these can be easily disabled. Unlike some other 'program mover'
  460. type applications that give little control over the steps to be
  461. taken, Update Toolkit allows you to specify all aspects of
  462. operation. Furthermore, you can use any combination of the areas
  463. of functioning. For example, you can use the file
  464. copy/more/compare functions and not the other three. Or you can
  465. modify shortcuts and examine the registry but do nothing with the
  466. file or text search/replace functions.

  473. Funduc Software Touch is a utility to change time/date & attribute
  474. stamps on one or more files. Files to operate on can be refined by
  475. complex file masks that allow you to include some files but
  476. exclude others in a path. The program also has a function to
  477. add/subtract a specified number of seconds from the current file
  478. time. The program can be run interactively from the graphical
  479. interface or the command line.

  486. Copy most Windows controls' data to the clipboard!  That's just
  487. one of the features of this freeware program from Funduc Software.
  488. The program can report the type and content of some of the windows
  489. currently displayed on your desktop and for the most popular types
  490. of controls (including lists and trees) it can copy their contents
  491. to the clipboard.  You can also copy the contents of password
  492. fields and regular text boxes. Cost: Free.

  499. DupBlock is a freeware utility that generates blocks of text based
  500. on a template and variables you specify.  The user enters a
  501. default text block and defines the variables. Variables can be
  502. printf- style counters or list variables.  Output can be sent to
  503. the windows clipboard or a file, append mode or not.  An example
  504. use of DupBlock is generating a scripts for one of Funduc
  505. Software's other utilities that uses script files for automated
  506. tasks. Cost: Free.

  513. HexView allows you to view, print, print preview of any file as a
  514. Hex Dump. HexView is intended as a free companion program to our
  515. utility, Search and Replace. However, it is a standalone application
  516. and you are free to use it as you see fit.  The source code (C++
  517. using MFC 4.x or higher) can be downloaded for free from
  518. http://www.funduc.com. A Japanese version is available.

  522. DBComp (Freeware)
  523. ==================

  525. DBComp is a database comparison and merge application. The program
  526. performs two basic tasks: 1) The Compare Data Sources function
  527. compare two OBDC data sources for alike vs. different records and
  528. generate a Difference File that lists the records that either do
  529. not match or have been added/deleted from one data source compared
  530. to the other. 2) The Merge function examines a Difference File
  531. generated by DBComp and updates the specified data source via SQL
  532. statements. You can view the SQL statements in advance and remove
  533. one (or more) in advance if you wish. DBComp can be used to update
  534. remote data sources when it is impractical or inefficient to
  535. distribute an entire copy of the database to the remote location.
  536. The program can also be used to examine a data source against an
  537. archived (older) copy for the purposes of debugging or historical
  538. examination. Cost: Free

  545. This very popular freeware app is an extension for Windows
  546. Explorer. The program allows you to decode Internet email
  547. attachments by right-clicking on a saved message file from
  548. Explorer and selecting Decode from the menu. The program supports
  549. multiple attachments, multi-part files (already concatenated),
  550. UUENCODED, Base64(MIME), BinHex (Mac format), quoted-printable,
  551. XXENCODED, plain text files, and User (table) encoded files. If

  598. created for users who find it necessary to make manual changes to
  599. the Windows time zone and 'day light savings' offset parameters.
  600. TZAdjust is probably of greatest interest to Windows NT-class
  601. users. NT/2000/XP returns time information as an offset from
  602. Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). In addition, the OS automatically makes
  603. Daylight Savings compensations when reporting file times. One can
  604. disable "Automatically Adjust for Daylight Savings" entirely in
  605. the Windows Day/Time Properties dialog but there may be other
  606. instances where finer control over time zone and the daylight
  607. offset is desired. Do not use TZAdjust casually. Be sure to read
  608. the information in the 'readme.txt' before using this program.

  630. Delivery Agent is a send-only e-mail program, with mail merge
  631. functions, for use by web site managers, network administrators,
  632. customer relations and support personnel, etc.  The program is
  633. used to deliver frequently used, customer-requested e-mail
  634. messages (& MIME attachments) such as newsletters, product
  635. delivery & announcements, support notes, etc.  Messages can be
  636. sent to one or more users by selecting a message from a list and
  637. entering the users' address.  The program can read a text file
  638. containing a list of addresses for bulk delivery.  Recipients of
  639. bulk deliveries are shielded from seeing the other recipients in
  640. the list.  The program checks a POP e-mail account prior to
  641. sending message via SMTP - useful for servers that 'validate' the
  642. users current IP address prior to mail relays.  Version 3.0 adds
  643. MAPI support.  When activated, the program will route outgoing
  644. messages to your primary MAPI-aware e-mail program.  Mail merge
  645. field name definitions, variable names, and data are stored in a
  646. single file containing the data and e-mail addresses.  Variable
  647. names can be anything you like (except for the name of the e-mail
  648. address field). Mail Merge 'Constants' can also be defined.  The
  649. program has a customizable header function that can be used to
  650. send web mail' or 'HTML mail'.  The "To: " field can also be
  651. customized for bulk, non- mail merge deliveries.  Port settings to
  652. use and maximum number of recipients per block can be configured
  653. manually.  Settings and messages can be created via the program
  654. GUI or, once you are familiar with the program, via an external
  655. text editor.  A full complement of command line switches allows
  656. the program to be incorporated into your .bat routines.  A log
