  8. Application Inventory is compatible with Windows NT/2000/XP, Windows
  9. 2003, and Windows Vista (all versions). 32-bit and 64-bit (x64)
  10. versions are available.

  12. NT 4 Users: Although not absolutely required, we suggest you
  13. have SP 6 installed.
  14.  
  15. To install Application Inventory, follow the instructions below.

  17. We prefer you install via our self-installer because the
  18. installer sets up an uninstall function in Control Panel, Add-
  19. Remove Programs. Visit http://www.funduc.com/app_inv.htm or
  20. http://www.searchandreplace.com/app_inv.htm for a download
  21. link.

  23. See 'FileList.txt' for a description of the files installed. All files
  24. are put in the path of your choice. C:\Program Files\AppInv is the
  25. suggested but you can change this if you like.

  29. Manual Installation Instructions

  32. 1. Unzip the contents of this archive into the path of your choice.
  33.  
  34. 2. Create a program shortcut to 'AppInv.exe' (32-bit version) or
  35.    'AI64.exe' (64-bit version).
  36.  
  37. 3. Run 'AppInv.exe' or 'AI64.exe' respectively.

  43. 1. Close Application Inventory if it is running.

  45. 2. Delete the entire folder you created above.
