  7. LICENSE AGREEMENT AND WARRANTY DISCLAIMER

  9. You should carefully read the following terms and conditions
  10. before using this software. Use of this software indicates your
  11. acceptance of these terms and conditions.  If you do not agree
  12. with them, do not use the software.

  15. SHAREWARE VERSION LICENSE
  16.  
  17. The Shareware Version is not free software.  If you are using the
  18. Shareware Version you are hereby licensed to use this software for
  19. evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 20 uses.  If
  20. you use this software after the 20-use evaluation period a
  21. registration fee is due (see Ordering Information).

  23. If you are using the Shareware Version of the software you are
  24. also hereby licensed to: Make as many copies of the Shareware
  25. version of this software and documentation as you wish; Give exact
  26. copies of the original Shareware version to anyone; Distribute the
  27. Shareware version of the software and documentation in its
  28. unmodified form via electronic means.  There is no charge for any
  29. of the above.

  31. Unregistered use of Application Inventory after the evaluation period
  32. is in violation of federal copyright laws.

  34. You may not decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or modify
  35. any version of Application Inventory (shareware) in any manner.

  38. REGISTERED VERSION LICENSE
  39.  
  40. One registered copy of Application Inventory may be dedicated to a
  41. single person who uses the software on one or more computers or
  42. workstations that are for their own exclusive use and for which
  43. they are the sole user.

  45. The purchase of a single user license specifically does not permit
  46. use of the program to modify, update, or search multiple
  47. workstations, directly or indirectly, via any means.  A single
  48. user license may not be made available in any form to multiple
  49. users or workstations.

  51. Licensing is not based on "concurrent" users.  If multiple
  52. workstations are to access the program in any form and for any
  53. length of time you must purchase licenses for the number of
  54. workstations that will access the program.  If you make the
  55. registered version of Application Inventory available through a
  56. network and accessible by multiple users or workstations you are
  57. required to purchase licenses for the software covering all
  58. workstations that will access the software through the network.

  66. SPECIAL USE LICENSE FOR LARGE NETWORKS

  68. Special licensing is available for corporate &/or large networks.
  69. The purchase of a special use license allows you to use the
  70. program to inventory the number of workstations for which you
  71. purchased special use licenses for.  Unless otherwise noted at the
  72. time of your purchase, a workstation update/special use license
  73. specifically does not allow individual workstation users to access
  74. the program for interactive use.  Do not create desktop shortcuts
  75. or launchers that allow workstation users to access the program
  76. outside of the specific update routine for which you purchased the
  77. special use license.

  83. OWNERSHIP RIGHTS

  85. Funduc Software, Inc. owns and retains all copyrights, patents,
  86. trade secret rights, trademarks and intellectual property rights
  87. to this software. Registration &/or use of the software does not
  88. grant you any right to the intellectual property in the product.

  97. RESTRICTIONS

  99. You are prohibited by law from selling, renting, leasing, loaning,
  100. or donating the program or documentation in whole or in part
  101. without specific advance agreement between yourself and Funduc
  102. Software, Inc.  You are prohibited by law from redistributing the
  103. registered version of the program by any method or in any form
  104. except to the specific individuals for whom the software was
  105. purchased.  You are prohibited from decompiling, reverse
  106. engineering, disassembling, or otherwise reducing the program to
  107. human readable form for any purposes whatsoever.  You may not
  108. modify the program or documentation in any manner.  You are
  109. prohibited from permitting anyone else from undertaking any of the
  110. above actions.

  112. You may not decompile, disassemble, modify, or reverse engineer
  113. Application Inventory (registered or shareware) in any manner.

  116. GOVERNING LAW

  118. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  119. Michigan, United States.

  122. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
  123.  
  124. This software and the accompanying files are sold "as is" and
  125. without warranties as to performance of merchantability or any
  126. other warranties whether expressed or implied.  In particular,
  127. there is no warranty for the string Replacing feature.

  129. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be
  130. thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it.
  131. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. Any
  132. liability of the seller will be limited exclusively to product
  133. replacement or refund of purchase price.
