  9. Search and Replace has two special settings related to zip
  10. searching.  Please see below for more information.  Also see
  11. SR_ZipMask.reg included in this zip for the values ZIP Mask= and
  12. ZIP File Mask=, both of which are under
  13. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\funduc Software Inc.\SR32\Flags. You
  14. can use SR_ZipMask.reg as a template for merging your own
  15. settings.

  17. Reminder: Zip functionality is for search-only.  If you need to
  18. replace in files in zips you will need to extract them manually
  19. first.

  23. The .reg files in this zip makes changes to the Windows
  24. registry.  Mistakes can cause your computer to become
  25. inoperative and may even require that you reinstall your
  26. operating system and all your applications.  DO NOT PROCEED
  27. with the .reg files if you are not thoroughly familiar with
  28. making changes to the registry!  DO NOT PROCEED with manual
  29. registry if you are not familiar with backing up and editing
  30. your registry. We can provide help at
  31. support@searchandreplace.com if you are worried about making
  32. changes and write in advance.  We cannot advise you if you make
  33. a mistake and then write us.  You have been warned.

  36. 1. ZIP Mask= 
  37. =============

  39. See SR_ZipMask.reg.  This switch can be used to enable .jar
  40. file searching.  The default program setting for Search and
  41. Replace is *.zip. Edit SR_ZipMask.reg and specify "ZIP
  42. Mask"="*.zip;*.jar" for that switch.  Exit Search and Replace
  43. if it is running. Merge SR_ZipMask.reg into your registry.

  46. 2. ZIP File Mask= 
  47. =================

  49. See SR_ZipMask.reg.  This switch is rarely used.  ZIP File
  50. Mask= can be used to specify files to process within zips.
  51. This over- rides the program default File Mask settings.  In
  52. most cases you should not specify anything for ZIP File Mask=.

  54. 3. JAR Search
  55. =============
  56. See SR_JarSearch.reg.  This is a prepare .reg file to enable
  57. .jar searching.  To merge this .reg: 
  58.  - Right click on SR_JarSearch.reg in Windows Explorer
  59.  - Select "Merge" from the menu.
  60.  - Click on Yes when Windows prompts you to merge the information.
