  1. [01] CAN I HAVE MY DOMAIN HOSTED HERE?  CAN YOU HOST A COMMERCIAL SITE?

  3.      Yes.  SDF will do DNS (primary and secondary) for your domain
  4.      and even host webpages for that domain if you so desire.
  5.  
  6.      There are basically three pacakges for ARPA members.
  7.  
  8.      DNS ($20 annual)     Name Service for your domain.  You can
  9.                           update your DNS record whenever you want
  10.                           and SDF will reload it every 2 hours evenly.
  11.  
  12.      REGIS ($15 annual)   Domain Name Registration in com, net and org.
  13.                           VHOSTers who pay their dues annually have
  14.                           free domain registration.
  15.  
  16.      VHOST           This includes DNS, MAIL service and WEB       
  17.                           service.  Daily transfer quotas are soft (not
  18.                           strictly enforced by the servers) and scaled 
  19.                           based on your need:

  21.                           Membership dues    Quota
  22.                                     $5/mo    100MB
  23.                                    $10/mo    250MB
  24.                                    $14/mo    500MB
  25.                                    $20/mo   1000MB

  27.      If you are an ARPA member, type 'mkvhost' to get started.

  29.      When you run 'mkvhost' to create a virtual host, a directory is
  30.      created in your html directory, similar to:

  32.                     $HOME/html/mydomain.xxx
  33.  
  34.      You are given the subdomain 'www' by default.  If you wish to add
  35.      more subdomains, then a directory is created similar to:

  37.                     $HOME/html/subdomain.mydomain.xxx

  39.      Just place your HTML/cgi/images/php4 in these directories and you
  40.      are good to go.

  42.      CAN YOU HOST A COMMERCIAL SITE?

  44.      Certainly!  Your webspace is for your content and it doesn't matter
  45.      if it is a commercial or personal website, it can be hosted here.

  47.      However, we do not allow the following 'types' of commercial sites:

  49.      1. Photographic and Film Pornography 
  50.      2. Piracy or Torrent serving / indexing
  51.      3. Illegal profit schemes (Nigerian, Pyramid, Ponzi .. et cetera)
