  3. ARP is the original name of a set of DECUS-supplied character-routines
  4. for FORTRAN.  They have been rewritten for efficiency and installed into
  5. the regular FORTRAN library, so that they are loaded automatically when
  6. called from FORTRAN.  The list of all such routines added to FORLIB at the
  7. Locke Computer Center is in the HELP FORLIB help file.
