Professional Master Key v3.2 by PBS Registration $ 35.00
UTIL APR91 HARD DISK UNERASE BIT EDITOR MAP ATTRIBUTES
FILES: pmk32.sdn
Updated
PMK is a Norton-like menu-driven utility to unerase files,
map disk and file usage, edit files and sectors at the byte
level, sort and manipulate directory entry sequence, set file
attributes, unformat hard disks, and much more.
Hardware Requirements: IBM compatible computer, Hard disk
Does not support IDE drives.
This is a quick list of the major updates made to the
Professional Master Key Utilities from version 3.1 to version
3.2.
Elimination of PMK-MENU program (an overview program to call
the other utilities.
Increased the number of clusters PMK will handle past the
previous 32767 limit. It is still not unlimited and the
threshold depends on many factors such as memory size, number
of files in the current directory, number of FAT entries,
etc. Grossly huge applications like 1.2 gigabyte disks used
for BBS systems with thousands of files are still beyond
PMK's ability, but for most use, it is adequate.
Throughout all programs, the Escape key has replaced F10 to
back out of all routines.
Where applicable, typing a period (.) moves file name entry
to file extension field. Previously this was the hard-to-use
TAB key.
In PMK.EXE, set up a 2-key highlighted sortcut to access
functions from main menu.
In PMK.EXE, created a separate Select Path function to
eliminate the necessity of re-selecting subdirectories.
In PMK.EXE Edit Disk function, reversed the PgUp and PgDn
actions to conform to the rest of the world (and even with
the rest of PMK).
In PMK.EXE Map Disk function, Up and Down arrows move through
the files in the current subdirectory.
In PMK.EXE, all file lists show attributes in a
four-character format.
