Keynote: Mark Gerow, Consulting AbriaSoft(tm) Project Manager, will
speak to EBLUG about SQL databases on Linux and MySQL recently being
open-sourced under the GNU GPL. Mark brings 20 years of database development,
information systems, and business management experience to the team
on a wide range of hardware and operating systems. Prior to joining
the AbriaSoft(tm) team, Mark was with Intel in MIS; founded, built
and sold MEGAbase, Inc., a database services firm recognized as one
of the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in Silicon Valley
in 1998; and served as VP of Applications Development Services for
Allin Consulting, a national technology consultancy. Mark has a B.A.
with majors in Computer and Information Systems, and Economics from
the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Event: This week we will be having a Togo's party (i.e., Togo's
sandwiches will be provided!) with our event sponsored by 3ware Inc.,
so bring a friend.
