  1.     The REN command renames a file.
  2.  
  3.     Synonym: RENAME
  4.  
  5.     _Example_:  ^REN oldname.doc newname.doc^
  6.  
  7.     This command would change the name of a file, oldname.doc, to
  8.     a new name, newname.doc.  There will only be one copy of the 
  9.     file after this command is used (i.e. only newname.doc will
  10.     exist).

  12.     Syntax:  REN <filespec> <filename>
