  1.     The FORMAT command formats disks for MS-DOS.

  3.     _Example_: ^FORMAT b:^

  5.     This command would format the disk that is in the b: drive.
  6.     After typing the command and pressing return, you will be
  7.     asked to insert the new disk before formatting would take 
  8.     place.
