  27. The .LZH files are LHARC archives.  To extract all files from, say,
  28. ADJRAM.LZH, you can proceed as follows:  Copy ADJRAM.LZH and LHARC.COM to a
  29. diskette in drive A:, and log in that drive.  Then place a blank, formatted
  30. diskette in drive B: and type
  31.  
  32.     lharc e adjram b:<Return>  .
  33.  
  34. One file in ADJRAM.LZH is ADJRAM.DOC.  If you want to extract only it, type
  35.  
  36.     lharc e adjram b: adjram.doc<Return>  .
  37.  
  38. Please note the space after 'b:'.
  39.  
  40. Using 'p' instead of 'e' and omitting 'b:' would display ADJRAM.DOC on the
  41. screen.  You can press <Hold Screen> or type control-S to make pauses.

  219. I have used some of these programs at least briefly.  On a DEC Rainbow
  220. 100A, ADJRAM and the PFSA package worked as the authors indicated.
  221. EMACS30.EXE ran under Rainbow MS-DOS 2.11-1, and accepted the generic EMACS
  222. commands.  VIEW.COM also worked on the 100A and a clone of the IBM AT, but
  223. was limited to viewing text files with about 66 000 characters.  Using
  224. VIEW.COM on the Rainbow was most convenient with the generic commands
  225. indicated in the README.RBO file in EMACS30.LZH.  ME110.EXE ran on the
  226. Rainbow, but did not use the full screen.  MEIBM.EXE ran on the Rainbow
  227. (which had plenty of memory) under the IBM PC-DOS emulator Code Blue with
  228. its '/V' option.
  229.  
  230. I used NANSI.SYS on the AT clone I mentioned.  NANSI.SYS worked without any
  231. problems I noticed, but did not recognize some ANSI codes (such as the one
  232. for double-width characters) which a Rainbow can use.
  233.  
  234. I could not use NANSI.SYS on a Rainbow.  I did not try out any of the
  235. source codes.
  236.

  238. These can be viewed on the screen with the MS-DOS 'TYPE' command.  You can
  239. also use the 'COPY' command to send these files to a printer.  For example,
  240. you can print the file you are now reading with the command
  241.
