  14. This package may contain more than one set of binaries, in separate
  15. subdirectories.  Each subdirectory is named according to the version
  16. of the C library that the set is intended for.  For example, the
  17. GNU Libc version 2.1 binaries are in the "glibc2.1" directory.

  19. For example, Red Hat Linux 7.x uses glibc2.2, Red Hat Linux 6.x uses
  20. the glibc2.1, Red Hat Linux 6.x uses glibc2.0, and Red Hat Linux 4.x
  21. uses the old libc5.  Therefore, you should use the binaries that
  22. correspond to your version of libc.

  28. The installation program (install_ncftpd.pl) is in the top-level
  29. directory as well as in the individual binary subdirectories.  If
  30. you run the script from the top-level directory, the script should
  31. be able to automatically choose which set of binaries you need.
