  2. A Hobbyist's Guide to Programming the Mac OS in Pascal

  5. The Microsoft Word version of Macintosh Pascal was written using Word 98. 
  6.  
  7. All files are formatted for double-sided greyscale printout on US Letter size paper.  Approximately 480 sheets are required for double-sided printout of the 955-page book.

  9. Printout on A4 Size Paper

  11. Printout on A4 size paper is satisfactory using the US Letter settings.  Accordingly, A4 users should not change the US Letter page size setting in the Page Setup... dialog.

  13. Required Fonts

  15. Required fonts are as follows:

  17.      •     Palatino (main text).
  18.  
  19.      •     Monaco (source code listings and associated comments, etc.).
  20.  
  21.      •     Helvetica (headings).

  23.      •     N Helvetica Narrow (figure titles and captions).

  25.      •     Charcoal (menu title and item references, etc.).

  29. Before printing, please confirm that the following settings have been preserved:

  35.      •     Scaling:  80%.  (Some drivers call this Reduce/Enlarge.)

  45.      •     Gutter:  0.75 inches.
