Page 9, paragraph 2:
----------------------
Change "vlt4p834.lzh" to "vlt4p824.lzh".
Page 10, points 10 and 11:
---------------------------
The destination for the two copy commands described in these
two points should be "df0:".
Page 25, Communications Menu:
Page 27, Strip Bit 8:
------------------------------
Change all occurrences of the text "Strip Bit 8" to "Strip 8th Bit".
Page 38-39, Select Screen Type (Tektronix):
--------------------------------------------
Add a new paragraph after the first four lines on page 39:
" The last sub-item, 'Double-Sized Custom', changes the screen to a
Custom screen that has twice the width and height of the usual custom
screen. You can scroll around this screen by dragging the mouse to the
edges of the screen that are currently not shown, or you can hold down
the left Amiga key and drag the screen using the left mouse button.
Note: this option only works under AmigaDOS 2.0, and only if you have
sufficient graphics memory. An 8-color, 1400 by 960 screen takes about
half a Megabyte of graphics memory! If you get a message saying that
the screen couldn't be opened, try first changing to fewer colors.
This option is a toggle. When you select it again, the screen reverts to
the regular screen size. It has the keyboard abbreviation right-Amiga D."
Page 69-70, COLOR command:
--------------------------
Add the following lines just after the description of the
COLOR command:
"COLOR REQuest
Causes the VLT color requester to open on VLT's screen. The command
will only return when the user has completed his color selection."
Bug Fixes Since Version 4.824
=============================
VLT 4.846
=========
VT100 section
-------------
The following bugs were fixed. Most bugs were newly introduced into
4.824, only one or two were old bugs.
- When programming function keys etc. to execute .scp or.vlt scripts,
the recognition of ".scp" or ".vlt" used to be case sensitive. This
is no longer the case. This is an old bug.
- The minimum VLT window size, when used on the Workbench, was increased
in order to allow access to all the usual titlebar gadgets.
- There was a possibility for VLT to crash when a second VLT was started up,
shortly after the message "But I'm already here" appeared. This has been
fixed.
- When function keys 41 through 50 are programmed from a script or from
ARexx, the menu bar is now properly updated.
- The code cleaning up after expired schedules was improved somewhat. It
used to cause a certain sluggishness when a very large number of scripts
were started.
- A problem with the message window not being the correct size when a file
transfer is started when a smaller message window is already open was fixed.
- The menu option "Set Break Time" now allows specifying times larger than
65535 microseconds.
- The menu option "Strip Bit 8" was renamed to "Strip 8th Bit" to correctly
reflect its function.
- The "Beep Volume" menu option was fixed to allow negative volume settings
conform the documentation.
- The "Parity" selection menu was fixed. A bug was introduced into 4.824
that caused some parity selections to be improperly transferred to the
parity selection routine in the serial device handling code.
- A check was added to prevent VLT from using the new scaled fonts under
AmigaDOS 2.0
Tektronix section
-----------------
The following bugs were fixed in the Tektronix code.
- The eol string was sent twice on some reports to the host.
- Saving the screen contents as an IFF file would cause strange results
when using particularly large screens.
