  88.  This is a specialised database for keeping track of genealogical information.
  89.  It features a full, easy to use, Intuition interface with key short-cuts for
  90.  most gadgets.

  92.  The programme is totally non-sexist and secular in nature, and correctly
  93.  handles multiple marriages, "unconventional" marriages, adopted children, and
  94.  unmarried parents.

  96.  The printed reports include descendant and pedigree charts, personal details
  97.  reports, family group sheets, and index lists of people and families.
  98.  
  99.  Free-form note files can be created using any editor, and IFF pictures can be
  100.  viewed using any IFF viewer, from within the programme.

  102.  Other features include dynamic on-screen ancestor and descendant charts,
  103.  extensive on-line context-sensitive help (using "AmigaGuide", © Commodore
  104.  Business Machines), flexible "regular expression" searching, and multiple
  105.  ARexx ports with extensive command set.

  121.  possible with 512 kbytes.

  123.  Kickstart/Workbench v2.04 (or later) required. Version 2.10 (or later)
  124.  required for locale support (alternative languages).

  126.  Any preferences supported printer capable of printing 80 columns in normal
  127.  mode, and 130 columns in condensed (fine) mode. Back-spacing capability
  128.  required for printing pedigree charts.

  130. ON-LINE HELP
  131. ------------
  132.  
  133.  Scion Genealogist uses "amigaguide.library" to provide the on-line, context-
  134.  sensitive help.
  135.  
  136.  "amigaguide.library" is installed using the supplied "Install" script -
  137.  accessible from the WorkBench by clicking on the "Install" icon. The
  138.  installation script will install "amigaguide.library" in the LIBS: directory,
  139.  (and a custom "sciongen.font" in the FONTS: directory). The script will NOT
  140.  copy these files if it detects a more recent version of these files already
  141.  installed, and will request confirmation of all actions.
  142.  
  143.  Once the Amigaguide® help system is installed, on-line help is available
  144.  from within Scion Genealogist by pressing the "HELP" key.
  145.  
  146.  If the mouse pointer is positioned over a gadget when the "HELP" key is
  147.  pressed, help on that particular gadget will be displayed.
  148.  
  149.  If a menu item is being selected when the "HELP" key is pressed, help on that
  150.  particular menu item will be displayed.
  151.  
  152.  If the mouse is NOT positioned over a gadget when the "HELP" key is pressed,
  153.  the main help contents screen for the programme will be displayed.
